Worked for my project
Wired in to detect when something was inserted into a slot and turn on a light. It works perfect and I like it.

Wonky Sensor
I have no idea why, but these seem to be rather cheaply made. Kinda gives me some funny feedback for no reason at times. Like I had to manually bend some of the pins and play with the potentiometer to make it read correctly. Some of these were fine but others weren't. Seems like these weren't made with precision to be honest.

Good product at a good price!
Works very good as it was expected.

Output goes LOW on activation.
No documentation results in BOTH contact Hi (incorrect) and contact Lo (correct) on activation. Limited distance adjustability (1/2 inch to 3 inch) but OK for my application.

Not as good as other styles of IR modules sold on Amazon
There are two problems with these modules:1. They only have a 100-ohm resistor between Vcc and the LED. This is too low of a value, and explains why many folks have complained that the LEDs burn out if used continuously on 5v. I'm sure it's fine when operating on 3.3v.2. The transmitter and receiver are right next to each other, and there is no "guard" between them. So the receiver tends to register false positive readings. If you put a piece of paper or plastic between them, I'm sure it would work fine.So on 3.3v, and with a home-made optical shield between the transmitter and receiver, these will work great. But there are differently-designed IR modules available on Amazon that fix both of these issues -- they have a larger resistor so the LED works fine on 5vdc, and they have a built-in plastic shield between the transmitter and receiver.

Great product
Works as expected.

Range not as advertised
The media could not be loaded. This sensor has terrible range. All 10 in the package have a maximum sensing range of 7cm or less. Nowhere near the 30cm advertised. I do not recommend this sensor.
