At first I wanted to get a more decorative hanger, but the practical side of me won when I saw these ones with the dividers on top. The hangers are for my laundry room and I figured if I need to hang items to dry the dividers would keep them apart from each other for air circulation. I've only installed one so far, and it was super easy but they don't provide wall anchors so you will need to get some if installing on dry wall. This hanger is hollow metal, not solid. It seems sturdy enough, but I haven't hung anything heavy on it yet. For the price (1/2 the cost of others I was browsing) I think it's a great value and I'll get a lot of use out if it.

I wasn't sure how well these would work when they arrived - it seemed almost too simple of a concept since there is nothing actually holding the rod into the bracket. But, once we put the bracket up and slid the hanging bar into place, we discovered that it was actually pretty sturdy and clever. We have a small laundry room and use this to hang shirts as we take them out of the dryer so they don't wrinkle. It swings out of the way when we don't need it. Although it's not made of a real heavy material, it's definitely sturdy enough to hold several shirts. I'm not sure if I would hang something heavy like a leather jacket on it... you probably could if you hung it close to where it swings rather than out on the end.

The include hardware for the brackets is just four small screws; I don't think they'd hold in virtually any material for very long. The pivot point on the rack has no bushing whatsoever - it's metal against metal. The only advantage to these is that they're cheap - $5/ea - but I'm not sure they're even worth that.

I really like these. They were too long to hang on my cabinet in my laundry rm, but hubby cut them off and put a rubber thingie on the end. Now,, they are perfect. I would recommend these, and I would purchase them again.

My closet was too narrow. Hanging clothes on racks that can fold against the wall was a great solution.
