The # of ozs & # of bags(6), and the price are the reasons that I bought this brand of chestnuts.
The Price and Size of the bag is ''6 stars'' . These chestnuts are/were not the best for me. They are a bit too moist and spongy straight from the bag. I will try heating them a bit to see if this helps, but don't know if they taste better and not be so spongy. This isn't the brand that I usually buy but it's price & size was why I tried it. 💌

Yuck, pitched it all
I never tasted roasted chestnuts and hoped this was an affordable chance. No such luck. Inside each pouch were soft brown slimy nuggets that seemed like they had never resembled the product pictured on the pouch. Web inquiries established this was normal for chestnuts in foil pouches. Wash off the slime and smell -- if no rancid smell, should be OK. YUCK! Was not spoiled, but tasted horrible. Threw out all six pouches immediately.
