hmmmmm
note to all leather smiths or folk wanting to start in leather. iv done leatherwork for around over 5 years on and off. no modern stuff, self taught armorer in leather/mail/plating. the edge beveller.- usual Chinese metal and ONLY comes with ONE edge beveller. decent enough stitching awls but will see how they come up against 4-6mm of layered leather. enough thread for a couple of bracers. 150m x 3 rolls (w) (b) (blk) needles are cheap and will be expected to break after an hour or two of my hands sweating and bleeding sewing by hand. if your wanting to start in leatherwork, look for full kits sold by genuine companies as the amount of amazon "professional" tools i have had snap, chip. break. bend i could be a millionaire by now for every one i had do the exact. over-all. could be better but decent enough to refill missing tools temporarily

Good starter kit, and value.
The product arrived within a day, which was key, as it was needed as a gift for the weekend.

Not perfect but a good start
I looked at all of the kits on Amazon, read reviews on tools for beginners and decided on this kit and some stitching punches to get me going. I have yet to use it in anger but for the money I think it is really good start and although not top quality, the tools are good enough and most importantly sharp. Two omissions are a chamfer tool and a second sewing needle but from what I can see this applies to all of the smaller kits.
