Crawfords Garibaldi Biscuits, 100 Gram (Pack of 12)

Biscuits are nice and crisp with a great taste. I order them by the case because they are difficult to find, and when I do they are very pricey. They stay fresh a long time.

Will order these again. Reminds me of the Nanisco biscuits I ate as a kid. Taste good and has good memories.

These are classic Girabaldi Biscuits—also affectionately known as “fly biscuits” because of the smushed currants in the biscuit. These Classic, flat biscuits were always a fave of mine since I was a kid & they are perfect for those who don’t want a sugary cookie-type snack, but want a cookie-like treat. Biscuits are how I remember them—flat, lightly sweet currant filling & semi-crunchy biscuit outer. Biscuits break at perforations making them easy to dunk—if you like living on the edge, spread a bit of butter or jam on them for a mega-treat! My biggest complaint about these Crawford Girabaldi is that I haven’t always received them in fresh condition. The texture of a fresh biscuit has a bit of crunch—when stale they are crumbly, crunchy & bland—blah! I give these a generally positive review—even better, Crawford’s Girabaldi’s have been available at a lower price for bulk purchase—I usually go for the 12 pack, which has been approximately 18.00+—not a bad price considering this product is not always easy to find. These biscuits are not SNAP eligible, nor are they vegan friendly having egg & milk ingredients. Nutritional label is in Euro-speak, so get out your gram converter if you must. If you remember these biscuits & loved them, here they are! If you are looking for a not-too-sweet biscuit for a light snack or tea, these are perfect!

When I had previously ordered the pack of 3 the product arrived in a plastic bag and was moist, fresh, and delicious. So this time I ordered the pack of 8. They were delivered more than a week beyond the "best if used by" date, were bound with masking tape (no plastic bag) and were dry, stale, and tasted horrible. They were shipped from a different source. I won't order the pack of 8 again.

I love these. They are like the Sunshine Biscuits from years ago. BUT are way too ecpensive

I was hoping these cookies would be similar to the ones we had in the US back in the 1950's-60's. I think the brand was Sunshine. These were vaguely similar, but quite dry and didn't have the same texture. Also they are kind of pricey for the small package.

I biscotti arrivano direttamente dall'Inghilterra, dove sono molto apprezzati soprattutto per il rito del tè.. Ero curioso di provarli, non essendo facilmente reperibili in Italia. La spedizione prevede 3 pacchi. Li ho assaggiati, ma francamente non mi hanno fatto impazzire: li ho trovati simili ai nostri biscotti strudel, seppure con una sfoglia più sottile e croccante. Non sono male ma non li ricomprerei, soprattutto per l'alto costo di spedizione. Sono comunque arrivati intatti e non sbriciolati.
