We all love to read history and I love it even more now that I am older. Being able to get a quick fix in about an hour is so wonderful. My thanks to Charles River Editors in coming up with all of these books. I can read and refresh my memory in just a little bit. I love these books! History at it's finest, in a flash!

I enjoyed this book, a lot of history leaving up to the Stasi organization. I only wish the book was longer I really enjoyed it

I haven't read the book, but was a little perturbed to see the Stasi referred to as the Staatssicherheitsdienst in the introduction. This isn't to my knowledge an abbreviation ever used in either the DDR or the West at that time, or indeed, since. Staatssicherheitsdienst/SSD was more commonly used in fictional books as it had an 'evil' ring to it rather like the Nazi SS, SD and Gestapo.BUT I haven't read the book and this could just be a slip up by the publisher, not the author. I must therefore be fair and rate it at the maximum 5 stars.

Terrible book! The format of the book is wrong, too big both pages and font size.Pictures are of poor quality, lots of type mistakes: for example Bliumkin become Blyumkin and then Blumkin within three lines, I would like to tell you which page but they are not numbered! it’s not the history of KGB and STASI as the title suggest but an historic panoramic into the event that lead to the creation of those agencies.Do not buy it, avoid! Terrible cheap book

The design of this "book" more like a pamphlet is just awful. I agree with the reviewer who mentioned it was like an A4 photocopy. To me, it lacks detail, clarity, and it looks like the unfinished project work of a 14 year old History student.For the price, this is not worth buying.

Looks like the book is a photocopy basically. A4 size. Very disappointing.
