I think it works?
I placed this in a dual post lamp with an adjustable lower arm. Using it is weird, I’ve been using it to help with muscle soreness, hair growth and acne scars at different intervals. It may be all placebo effect. It’s adds nice ambiance too, but my neighbors might think I’m a cam girl or gamer when I accidentally fall asleep with it on. ALWAYS USE EYE-PROTECTION OR A SLEEPING MASK. Good value for a single bulb, compared to the other options for red light therapy that I have seen.

Light works, But didn't get the benefits I usually get from red light. not powerful enough
1. You can not see near infrared light. none in existence (that I'm aware of) where you will be able to tell if it is on or not. unless you point your camera on it, you know how people tell you check for hidden cameras. it will show up on your phones camera, this is how you know it's on/working. No one is "lying" to you about it. 2. The light you see on this lightbulb, is because it's in a wavelength the human eye can see. The light you can see is there to show you "it's on". it does offer benefits (ideal distance is 12 inches from treatment area but can be up to 36 inches away) 3. NIR - near infrared light (again the naked eye cannot see NIR) works best when close, you want it 6 -12 inches away for treatment. I usually get it as close as possible, sometimes having the red light sit directly on my skin. 4. all red light therapy should be done on bare clean skin. As far as I'm concerned it is the NIR light that is the most beneficial, it penetrates deeper. With all that. I've been using this lightbulb for months now, and I'm ready to find something better, one that works. It hasn't helped with much. I have horrible knee pain and I still do. This bulb didn't even remotely help with the pain. I would keep this bulb roughly 2 inches from treatment area and leave it on for 30 minutes. No discernable improvement. (I know red light therapy works as this bulb was a replacement for my previous one that burnt out, they don't have them anymore, and thought an LED version would be nice). I also tried it just on my face, what red light therapy usually does, Helps even out my reddish color, my face is constantly flushed looking, and red light really improves this, not sure of the mechanics of why, I just know it does, because it has before. It also slowly helps rebuild collagen, kind of like forcing your skin into "healing mode", this in turn helps decrease wrinkle depth, for fine wrinkles can completely get rid of them. Again. this light did nothing beneficial, didn't even keep me warm and I do enjoy the warmth from red light therapy. Perhaps this not working is because it has so few LEDs, only 18 total, 9 of the 660nm visible red light and 9 of the NIR. 5. Quality. this bulb feels cheap. It's mostly plastic, and is super light, this can be a plus depending on how you look at it, But for me it just increased it's cheap quality feeling. I don't have much faith in this bulb. It did "turn on" and I can see light being emitted, but Because I can't turn off the visible light, I have no real idea if the NIR light is working (the spots that seems like no light is coming from should be the NIR lights) I point my phones camera at it, and I think I can tell, but it's honestly hard to see when you have bright red light shining. Maybe they work maybe they don't point 6. Too few LEDs, not enough power output. The lightbulb is just too weak to have any good benefits. perhaps sitting under it for an hour or 2 would show some results, But I don't have that kind of time. I like putting my red light as close to the problem areas are possible. My rating is because overall this is a mediocre product. It didn't benefit me at all though. Even one thing would have been nice. A suggestion (that I'm taking myself) if you want an LED red light therapy bulb/lamp, get one with as many LEDs as you can afford, and invest in one where you can turn on and off each "wavelength" of light seperately (something where you can just have NIR on if you want, or just the more visible red light or both)

Basic entry level
Considering the price, this is a good item. I experimented with this bulb, and it actually was quite nice and better than I was expecting. Because of my experiences with this bulb, I upgraded to a full panel, which is the MacDaddy of red light. From the research that I’ve done I know for red light to truly have and give all of its benefits it’s need to have enough power behind it to actually do that and this bulb is under that threshold, but it does seem to have benefits it was very warming and felt very calming. I did attach this bulb to a stand where I could target it to certain areas to increase its flexibility and that worked really nicely now that I have the panel I don’t use this as much. I think it’s a great entry product if you want to explore red light therapy but I don’t think it really has the full benefit delivery of a legit substantial device but these are far far more expensive. It’s nice because this is a standard socket lightbulb device and you don’t need anything fancy to run it. You will need some kind of a stand to make it flexible and get it close enough to the skin to derive any benefit at all. I bought a mic stand with a fully flexible arm and attached a light socket holder to where the mic holder is. This was a perfect solution.

the unit is probably OK.
I used this light for about 2 hours total and now only half the lights work on it......I just discovered that I am probably mistaken about saying that some LED's don't work. If they are 850nm IR, I would not be able to see the light. It would be invisible to my eye.

Stopped working
UPDATE: The seller reached out to arrange a replacement/refund. Only worked for about 4 months despite minimal use.

De acuerdo a la descripción y las reviews de este artículo este producto produce calor penetrante en la piel, pero no genera nada, ni lo más mínimo de calor, que es lo principal y más importante del tratamiento con la tecnología de infrarojo
