Work well enough.
I needed to replace some rusty brake lines on my old 3/4 ton farm truck. Since it was built in the 1970s, finding pre-made bent to fit lines was almost impossible to do. I only needed a couple lines, and all I could find were full line kits for big $$$. Instead, I decided to just get generic brake lines and bend them to fit. Places like NAPA carry lines of various lengths, with the ends already flared, and the nut in place at each end, all I had to do was match up the length as close as I could (hint, if you are doing this, and there is no piece exactly the length you need, most of the time it is better to get the next longer one, it is easier to add an extra spiral or coil in a longer line than try to stretch a short line to fit). Anyway, these pliers worked fine for bending the generic (straight) lines to match the shape of the old lines I removed. Keep in mind, I am a shade tree mechanic, and probably work on fitting in new brake lines only once every couple years, so for me getting a usable tool for a low price was more important to me than speed. If you are willing to spend some time to get the bends 'just right', these will do the job. There are benders for more $$ that are faster, and probably of better quality, but for the price, they are hard to beat for occasional use. Bench mount benders (clamp to your workbench or in a vise) are better in that you can use both hands to finesse the bend, instead of holding the tubing in one hand, and pliers in the other, but with the pliers style, I can take them to my old truck, and tweak the line a little, instead of having to take the line back to the bench. If I worked with brake lines a lot, I'd probably get a bench mount bender, but still keep the pliers, for their ability to fine tune bends with the lines in place without fear of kinking. Really, that is what these pliers are about, to be able to bend the line while you hold it, without kinking, and they do that job pretty well. These are built more than strong enough to bend any brake line you will ever see. In fact, I'd bet they'd be able to bend solid rod if they had to.

Works great on nicopp lines
They are cheap and work great for bending lines. Way easier than the old style of benders. The only limitation is that they mark up the tube a bit. If they had a little better fit I would give them a 5.

Horribly put of alignment
There is no quality control for making sure the jaws line up. I hoped I'd get lucky but mine were trash, it will mark up your lines.

Work well!
Great for tweaking your bends and final fitting. Used a lever type bender for all the major bends first
