I was skeptical about how effective it would be given the shady position of my window and the short days. But after getting it up, I went outside and was amazed that standing just beside the window I could not see in! There is no part of the garden that you can see in my window now - at least, NOW, at noon. On an admittedly dull overcast day. I hope it is still as effective in the afternoon before the sun starts to go down.Kind of a pain to apply. The instructions had me soak the window in sprays of soapy water on the first one, and that left soapy marks stuck between the film and the window that I had to sort of smear away. And without a squeegie I am left with lots of bubbles.It does make the room a bit darker, but not as much as I had feared.Still, I am delighted that I now can have privacy and a full view of the garden at the same time!

Great for privacy and sunlight limitation. I’m not so convinced about the heat retention though. We have digital thermometers installed in this room and another without this film. Absolutely not discernible difference in temperature. Might start seeing something happen when the colder weather comes so the jury is out…Easy install though, but you might need sim practice getting the bubbles ironed out and make sure your window is super clean. A tiny hair will be very noticeable.Loses a star due to their own packaging damaging the film. When your window is very close to the full dimensions of this product, every centimetre counts.

They work fine but they’re very ugly. Offices or other commercial buildings are more suited for this but in a domestic dwelling it’s hideous.

I bought a few different widths of tinted mirror for different window widths. It has a darkened metallic appearance from the outside - I didn't want vanity mirror finish else I might attract more peeps to check out their hair, makeup, outfit etc. It seemed complicated reading instructions, but in practice it was much easier to apply - and as it's static cling you can peel it off like any other window vinyl, and even re-apply spraying down with water. To install, I found the 90cm width was much easier with a helper to peel the protective film back whilst I sprayed with a water (worth getting a decent spraying bottle). The film is then slapped up on the window, sprayed on the inside, and the protective film is slapped up there too, protecting the film while I used a felt scrapper to work the bubbles out from the centre. I honestly didn't think I would be able to work bubbles out through these two layers, but in about 4mins I had done this. I then peeled the protective film off. Using a card to tuck edges and a knife was pretty easy. Corner cutting was a little trickier, I found cutting towards the corner worked best for me. I would certainly recommend this product for glare/privacy.

Found this easy to use, looks good when on the windows, but it doesn’t give you full mirror screen, when standing close to the window you can see through the film and not just one way mirror effect
