Not all the bulbs worked
There was no apparent damage to the light bulbs but out of 8 bulbs, 3 didn't work.

They seem to burn out rather quickly
Actual incandescent yellow bug light bulbs have been hard for me to find locally, so I was glad to find these for sale on Amazon. (I have an outdoor light timer that won't work with LED or compact fluorescent bulbs, -only incandescents.) But they do seem to burn out rather quickly, although these bulbs are typically used in situations where they get left on for long periods of time.

Quality
Have used the GE Bug Lite in the past, glad to be able to purchase these again. Worked just fine, usually have mine on every evening from dusk until dawn, both front and back doors. So far no issues with early burn out, happy with purchase.

Good invisibility, bad lifespan
When it comes to outdoor bug lights, the tradeoffs abound. I have yet to find a light that is highly invisible to bugs, has a long outdoor lifespan, and fits in the fixtures on houses built before flourescents became prevalent. We have gone through many bug lights in our porch lights and found that this GE bulb is one of the best in terms of invisibility to bugs. Being a normal incandescent, it also fits in the fixtures of our 1994 house, where most flourescents do not. The drawback is that these bulbs have a very limited lifespan. We leave our porch lights on all night, and in my experience these bulbs last two to four months. This is roughly consistent with their 1,000 hour rated life (1000 hours ÷ 12 hours/day = 83 days). If you have a light that is difficult to access, I would recommend looking for a bulb with a longer lifespan, but if you can get to your light easily and value invisibility, these GE bulbs are a good option.

Bug lights head bugs the other way!
I use bug lights in our patio lights to keep the flying bugs at bay. These bulbs are hard to find in stores now days. I found these on Amazon. So far they are working fine, very bright, just what we wanted!
