These were exactly what I expected, so why only four stars? I figured wearing a pair of gloves to handle small electronics would make the task harder, not easier.I've taken prudent steps to avoid static on countless projects in the past, but I wanted to avoid getting oil from my skin on the sensitive innards of our smartphones. With two projects under my belt I haven't ruined any phones, the gloves are still in excellent condition despite a lot of opportunities for the material to snag on small metal parts, and I'm getting used to the feel.They're not bulky or cumbersome (for a glove). They fit extremely well and seem well made. My only issue with these gloves are the seams - they run across the most important part of the hand for small, delicate tasks: your fingertips. This may be a trait of all such gloves at this price point. If so it's unfortunate. However, if I had to have a seam run across my fingertips, I don't think I could find one much better (for what it's worth).If you need a glove for sensitive projects where even small amounts of dirt, oil, lint, or static could be an issue; and, you'd like something you can wear for multiple projects, these seem to fit the bill.

I ordered a large with a ? of what they would feel like because I can wear a medium too. The gloves fit perfect, and I can work with them in comfort. They have sufficient elasticity to make them feel nice & fit on my hands when handling film. 50% into my project I noticed they were getting dirty because the film I was salvaging from a house fire was full of soot so I ordered 2 additional pairs. They are washable, but I couldn't wait for them to wash and dry, hence the additional pairs.This is a great product. I love them.

If you produce and/or handle fine art film/negatives/prints outside of an ISO cleanroom, then these anti-static gloves are a lifesaver. Not only do they prevent oily fingerprints and smudges from getting on anything, but I've successfully cleaned off such carelessness from some earlier prints using these gloves. When opening a package of expensive wide-format fine art paper, I insist on using these gloves to ensure that I do not accidentally mar anything during the printing, drying, examining, archiving/framing process. I used simple cotton gloves before, and they are good for preventing smudges, too, but the anti-static properties of these Kinetronic gloves put them in a whole different ballpark for functional and effective care of delicate materials.Machine washable. Made in the USA.

I received these gloves today, as I am learning electronics which is something I've wanted to learn for a long time. By trade I'm a IT Analyst, therefor I build and fix computer. I initially purchased these for both work and also learning, but I think I'm going to have to use them just for learning electronics.The reason for this is because the pins for electronics equiptment is continuously getting caught in the fibers, which isn't a problem when you're handling LEDs, Resistors and capacitors. I can imagine this being a major problem when handling CPUs.If you're buying these to learn electronics with I'd give them 5/5 starts.If you're buying these to build and maintain a computer I'd advise looking elsewhere.

What I did was to put two quarter coins on one of the gloaves, spaced 1/16 inch apart, and squeezed down hard with the probes. Then I measured the resistance between the coins and got no resistance -- that is that they were non-conductive.The manufacturer may comment on my method because I do claim not to "know it all".

I ordered these to help me avoid static damage when I replaced the DLP processor in my rear projection television. The process went smooth, and the TV works great.These gloves were pretty comfortable. I have large (chubby) hands, so I was glad that the large size fit me well. Normally, I wear XL in just about everything. So, just for the record, "Large" was a good comfortable size for mens's hands.

I decided to build myself a computer. It's the first time I've done this so I'm new to it all. I decided to buy these as a safety precaution. I assumed that since these are antistatic gloves for working on electronics that I couldn't do any damage by simply touching electronics. I was wrong, when carefully laying the cpu on the motherboard my index finger touch the outside of the socket. I think this is nearly unavoidable. The glove then got stuck to the pins! And not just a "I'll pull away carefully and maybe wiggle it free". These things were stuck hard, after 5 minutes of trying gently to remove my finger from the socket I had to just use force, damaging the socket and leaving glove fibers behind. I'd give negative stars if I could.

These work well for handling negatives and slides while scanning.
