Collective Minds Media Hub XS - Xbox One

I wanted a bit of a tower stand up with my 2 hdd to take up less shelf space and I got what I needed! You can use a 1 3.5" hdd 7200 with a 2nd 2.5" sshd or ssd mount on your Xbox One X or One S or use 2 2.5" hdd with an adapter for the 3.5" bay. Works great but you have to reformat your drives because going from enclosure to enclosure mean that settings do change! It comes installed 2 5010 fans that do the job to keep the system cool but I wanted some faster fans in the enclosure to keep the system air flowing and added some height to the feet pads to allow more air flow from underneath. It is somewhat moldable if you want to remove the plastic filter and add mesh but that depends how you are at modding so adding thicker feet pads did the trick for me. Remember to check for dust once in a while and this media center is the best fun I've seen. External power keeps this baby on so no worries about the Xbox having to reformat the external drive like the old media center hub that came out years ago.

Ok my friends first let me tell you that if you go to their website they have this exact same model a hub for $7.99 plus shipping which still turns out to be a little bit less than 30 bucksBut if you're having issues getting the Hub and Xbox One to recognize the HDD that you would just put in there that you had maybe taken from out of a another Xbox or out of a computer make sure it's formatted to MBR not GPT because GPT is the partition for inside internal hard drives and it won't recognize it because it's an external you have to partition it using Master boot record. And you can do this using Windows 10 but if you go online searching for it Easus and all those ones they make you pay with their fake free trials and make you pay anyways just do it do Windows 10. You go to Disk Management in settings use the window and the x button and you go to the drive that you're trying to convert and you delete the partition and then I don't know if you do the simple volume I think. don't remember exactly but it needs to be unallocated space I think again I might be wrong about that you might have to do a simple volume first but if you just look up how to convert GPT to MBR you'll figure it out it's really easy real quick after you delete the partition you right click on and they'll be like a dynamic something and under that option will be the convert option as soon as you do that it is perfect it took me almost a week to figure it out so that's why I'm writing this long-ass thing but I'm speaking to text it so if it's messed up it's cuz Google doesn't know how to understand people's voices when they've been drinking I looked everywhere I contacted even contacted the the sellers I don't think I got a message I think Amazon thought I did but I don't believe I did but it no matter I figured it out one person and the whole entire internet I found told me what to do I couldn't find that information nowhere else so that's very important if you want to take one terabyte hard drive out of an old Xbox and put it in that one it's great works perfectBut really you need to go to their website collecting mines website because they have some great damn prices deals I got a I bought a mod controller mod that was directly 50 bucks and all the rest of them were 50 bucks and this one was on sale for 799 so I pay 20 bucks for it I can't wait it's great check them out

I like being able to have my hard drives encased. The most functional accessory I have purchased. I don't like that I have to find my hard drives after a power loss. That makes me angry.

This product had issues. Had power issues after just a few months. After dealing with power issues for a year I eneded up buying and new hard drive case and threw this thing away. Very disappointing.

Works great. I have a 4 TB hard drive connected. It's as quiet as most computer fans so I really don't hear it.

I have only had this a week, but so far it seems to work well, has 3 small fans underneath powered by the external wall wart power supply, which also powers any hdd. There is room for 2 storage drives, one 2.5 inch and/or a 3.5 or 2.5 inch drive. Total space expansion says 16tb on the box and12tb in the manual, I have a 6tb Seagate in it now and it works as can be expected. I purchased a nas drive so I don't see any problem with it being spinning all the time other than using power. Would be nice for the drive sled to be air cooled.This device works with both XBOX ONE S&X, and uses one usb3.0 for 2 drives as well as gives 2 usb 3.0 on front.I have only 2 complaints.1) fans are loud and do not turn off when the box is off.2) hdd stays spun up while the box is off, regardless of the settings, it only rests when the box is unplugged. I have a 6tb wd book connected to the box and it does rest when the xbox is in standby.

I've had to format my xbox and redownload all my games twice now because this thing likes to bug out and corrupt the hard drives. I've tried many different drives and each of them just keep getting corrupted by this thing. Not worth the headache and hassle.
