I ordered this for my 12 year old son who LOVES flags. He designs flags, loves to read about flags, and this book was a perfect fit. It's very detailed and we've spent literally hours quizzing each other on flags. There are also quite a few city, county, novelty, and original country flags, and much much more. I really recommend it.

My six year old recently became interested in drawing flags. This book has beautiful pictures for him to attempt to duplicate. We've enjoyed going through the book together and talking about the different flags and the country they come from.Also has nautical and other types of flags as well.

This was a gift for my nephew who is currently obsessed with Flags. He seemed very excited to get it.

I play backgammon live and the flag denoted the country of the competitor so now I can learn and recognize country.

Great content and amazing book for flag lovers my only gripe was the spine cover and front cover had separated from the rest of the spine.

It's well illustrated and handsome, but but but.....the text is slightly turgid and I'm not sure whether it's reaching to capture new enthusiasts or inform the merely curious. It's not a page-turner by any stretch but well worth having.

I have already reviewed this item. Like it and once I have done a course in how to use a modern encyclopedia I will be happy just now it is a little difficult to sort out the various flags, but every possible flag, state flag, ensign, military, seagoing vessel and so on seems to be in there. should last a few generations I am sure!

Beautiful book, but I have seen a few errors so far. Flags which should have yellow sections are illustrated in orange for Guinea-Bissau and Barbados; One of the Micronesian flags - Yap - has the correct text but the wrong flag.These, and potentially other errors should be corrected.Majority looks like a good reference though.

A very good book, but a bit confusing with the order the flags are shown in. It's very good to have the other flags and banners but the World flags I feel would be better explained at the begginning rather than having all the old style flags taking preferance.

Great informative book, has lots of clear descriptions, pictures and history. Was purchased as a present and well received. Recommend
