Great light and it is super bright with a straight forward install. Unscrew your tag and screw it on in front of the tag. The only draw back to this light is the wires are very thin. The were so small my wire stripers didn't have a gauge hole small enough to stripe the wires, so I had to use a razor knife. The light performs great and is super bright.

I was impressed with the brightness of this light. Other than lighting up your license plate, I noticed how much light is casted on the surrounding area behind my truck. A good safety against hitting that trailer hitch in the dark. With these license plate lights they come in about 8 different colors and they do cast light in a wide area. I went ahead little bit crazy on my truck, as I said I installed the white light on the rear of the truck so I decided to install 1 to the front license plate but in Amber to go with the other marker light that is in front. At night I believe that this Amber light puts out the same brightness but with color. Update as of 07/08/25: I did notice that when I installed the AMBER license plate light on the front of my truck, it casted much more light out front and on the ground. This was because the rear light obviously has a bumper under it. If wondering how much forward light it casts I actually measured it and the rear as well. There rear was measured from the shadow of the rear bumper out was 4' and if the bumper wasn't there it would be 5.5' because that's what I got in front of the truck. It's not a over bearing light, probably like a very bright night light in a bathroom brightness. It seemed to reach out further when out where there is no street lights or such around.

Really nice part - easy to use. Wiring should be a little larger gauge..........kinda small (delicate). Let's see how it holds up on our F550 dump truck!!!!!

Bought 5 or 6 of these a few months back, identical to the ones you buy at the auto parts store but no were near the quality. Have had to install 3 separate ones on my wife's vehicle, work great for about a month then they turn into strobe lights which takes you from being legal to highly illegal in a hurry. I wouldn't mind if they just stopped working but the constant flicker is not only illegal but also very distracting and dangerous to not only vehicles around you but the vehicle its strobing on as well. Get very distracting when you constantly see a bright strobe light in your mirror while driving at night in the rural area we live in....

Accurately described as 'very bright'. I just installed this for the second time. The first one lasted about a week before water got inside and it stopped working. This time I put a little bit of silicone where the wire enters the light. Hoping that will help

Bright. Universal fit. Needs to be wired into existing trailer wires which isn’t too hard if your plate is near a rear or marker light. If you wire it to a combination brake/turn light, make sure you get the running light wires, not the brake/turn wires or it will flash. Not sure if it would handle extra power well.
