The plastic cover is as cheap as they come. The "vent" features have a ton of flash which make them ineffective. If heat is an issue, you will need to drill additional holes into the cover. The PCB is hot glued to the inside of the cover. However, the controller does work.I'm using this to control six 0.15 Amp PC fans. I would be very conservative with the amount of amps you plan to run through this controller.

Works great for my application
Works great on my Caframo ultimate fan. The enclosure is thin and it feels like the circuit board moves around a bit when you adjust the knob is the only reason for taking off a star but I’m sure you could open the case and address that with some tape or glue. I’m only pulling 1.5a or so. I certainly wouldn’t overload it.

Disappointed.
It worked for about 15 minutes - Then it began blowing the fuse repeatedly. Very poor quality and did not include the switch (gift) or the instructions mentioned i the product description. Very disappointed.I hope other buyers have a better experience.

Item came earlier than projected, and does everything it is supposed to. I had a Road Pro Tornado fan (12 volt) and the speed controller that came with it crapped out, but the fan itself was still working, only on full blast only. Road Pro did not sell another speed controller for their fan, and I wasn't going to buy a whole new fan outfit. I looked around online and found this one. Price was very reasonable and it fixed my problem.
