Deluxe Origami Paper Pack Paperback – October 1, 2013

I have purchased two of these now, first one locally. Yes, it says 1000 papers on the cover and only contains about 500. Papers at the front cover are more accurately cut square compared to the ones at the back of the book. I have had no trouble folding origami figures using this paper. Paper is about 10% thinner than 20# bond. I used a micrometer to measure 10 pages together. But the colors and pattern selection is really outstanding. Cranes and simple dragons work fine. For precision work you will need the thin stuff that costs 5 to 10 cents per sheet.I teach origami to interested folks and to granddaughters' school classes. This paper is excellent for that.

I love these books! I am sad that Barnes and Nobles doesn't carry this anymore so I have to order online which is more expensive but it's worth it. These patterns and different colors are awesome. The only thing is that most of these books don't offer perfect squares, so be ready to cut of edges off. I know it's extra work, but sometimes it's worth it. I have been doing origami for 10 years and these are always my go to books, my friends always love the colors in my origami pieces. I recommend it!

This is what I said first: "A good variety of patterns in paper maybe a bit thicker than kami. It folds nice and is fun to use. Reverse side is white. The papers are all bound together in a nice package, but each page pulls out with no tearing or distortion. Nicely presented and easy to use. I would have no qualms about buying this again."And here's my NEW comment: "Yes, thicker than kami, that's fine, white on the reverse, the designs are fun to use,and they don't tear when you pull them from the binder. BUT, as others have said, there are NOT 1000 sheets as deceitfully advertised! I never realized that until I re-read some of the reviews. I've used some, but I figured maybe there were 20 sheets each of 23 designs, and that's 460 sheets! Also, the sheets are NOT square, which is a bit of a bother! I can make squarer sheets myself with my eyes and my cheap little envelopener. So I reduced my rating to 2 stars, would have made it 1 star but I do like the designs. But will not buy a second time."

I bought this for my son who likes to fold origami figures. This book contains fun colors and patters, and when it's not in use the papers are not falling out of a package or getting smashed up because they remain in the book until he's ready to take out another sheet. I highly recommend this to add fun patterns to your origami. The paper isn't the super-thin type, however. So if you're looking for the super-thin papers, this is not it. But the papers and color are easy to fold and hold the shapes and folds very well.

This pack of origami paper comes bound in a book, like a large memo pad. The pages pull out cleanly. The pages are square and fold nicely. Paper is crisp and easy to fold. Colorful patterns. Great for practicing models. Great for kids and classroom use.

This is great for crafting origami at home. Paper is high quality and thick. This is a must for anyone choosing to learn this ancient art of paper folding.

Nice papers but only one sided patterns. I would have preferred more exciting designs.

Wer die oft doch recht heftigen Preise für schönes Origamipapier kennt, wird mit diesem Block glücklich sein. Die einzelnen Faltblätter lassen sich sehr leicht lösen, ohne hässliche Perforationskante. Durch die Bindung fliegt nichts herum, die Suche nach einem bestimmten Muster wird auch einfacher. Die Motive sind vielseitig - graphisches, Blümchen, fotorealistisches und sogar allerlei Animal Prints wie Tiger, Zebra, Giraffe, Leopard. Die Rückseite ist jeweils weiß, das Papier faltet sich recht gut. Für nur 12,95 hinsichtlich der Motivfülle und der schieren Menge an Faltblättern kann man hier nichts falsch machen.
