Not For Beginners!!
This chip is a cheap knock off of Arduino. It does work after getting the correct libraries installed in Arduino IDE and setting the right port. I use it to control my hydroponics system. It randomly "resets" if too long of a delay() is used or sometimes just for fun. There is a watchdog that watches the Wifi connection and resets if the chip is inactive from delay() for too long.

Its not compatible with arduino uno
It's cheap, It works, But "Arduino One" compatible is not. Yes you can use it with arduino ide, and tools, however, if you want it to replace an arduino one you need to check what features you will need. Arduino UNO has 5 analog pins, this board only one.

You Get What You Paid For
Your computer will not recognize this card. You will have to go and manually download the driver, often times you will find a version on a page that is in Chinese. You may also find that your Micro Mini USB cable does not work with this card, that's when you will discover there are two types of USB cables ones that were designing for charging devices such as Cameras or your old Blackberry and the other kind being the Data cables those are the ones you need, it's impossible to tell the difference just by looking at them. But the biggest problem with this card is that you can not Serial.print to it from the void setup function of the Arduino code, it is a common and known problem, it's a serial monitor initialization issue, which sucks for writing code to get it on your WiFi network and having it show you what DHCP IP Address it acquired

UNO WIFI
great board. I personally perfer to use TASMOTA on all my esp8266 devices and I was able to get this flashed and setup with TASMOTA without any problems. This is now a motion-, temperature-, humidity-sensor that controls some LED (ws2812b) lights.

Sehr gutes Board das gegenüber dem Arduino auch noch den Vorteil bietet dass der darauf verbaute ESP8266 Netzwerkkommunikation über WiFi ermöglicht.Gerade zum Auslesen von Sensoren die über Netzwerk abgefragt werden sollen, eignet sich dieses Board hervorragend. Zu beachten ist jedoch, dass nur ein analoger Eingang auf dem Board vorhanden ist. Digitale Ein- & Ausgänge sind in ausreichender Zahl vorhanden. (siehe Datenblatt)Programmiert kann dieses Board ganz einfach über die Arduino-IDE werden. Ich bin wirklich von diesem Board begeistert - eine weitreichende Verwendung ist dadurch möglich.

Arduino Schilds zerstören die digitalen Ein- Ausgaänge
Ich habe zwei von diesen Board bestellt, weil ich einen Ersatz für mein WMOS D1 R1 gesucht habe. Mein altes Bord ist bei gleicher Anwendung 2 Jahre gelaufen. Ich habe ein Arduino Relais-Shield mit 4 Realais laufen. Sobald man dieses Relais-Shild auf dieses Board steckt, gehen die Ausgänge D2+D3 kaputt. Das gleiche Ralais-Shield mit einem ESP-32 Board, macht das Problem nicht. Ich habe 2 Boards von der Sorte bestellt, beide sind sofort defekt.
