This pencil is super comfortable to use thanks to its cushioned grip and balanced weight. The 0.9mm lead is strong and writes smoothly—perfect for heavy writers or sketching. The shaker mechanism makes advancing lead easy. Great quality and ideal for long writing sessions.

Japanese engineering at its best
This is a very well designed product. It has excellent balance and a nice grip to prevent fatigue. It uses 0.9 mm lead which is thick enough that you do not have to press very hard. The only negative is the eraser is super small. Otherwise, it is well made and well designed, and I expect it will last a long time.

My unquestionable Daily Choice!!
This is an excellent version of a mechanical pencil. The 0.9 lead size, the grip, the weight, the size, the shake auto refill, makes this pencil my preferred daily choice.

Very Nice
This is a quality pencil. Is has what I would describe as a shake weight inside that you can use to advance the lead instead of constantly having to click it. The grip is very comfortable. Normally this device is not available in the united states regularly, so it will come in a package with a lot of Japanese writing on it. Nothing on the package would be anything that I would think that you would actually need to read.

Unicorn 0.9mm Dr Grip pencil
This review assumes you’re familiar with the Dr Grip products and their unique features. This is a very good mechanical pencil with the very desirable shake to advance lead feature. It is not as “plush” feeling in the hand as other Dr Grip pencils. The cushion grip feels less substantial and more firm than I’m used to with a Dr Grip product. This is however the only 0.9mm Dr Grip pencil I can find at this time and it performs as a 0.9 lead pencil should. Cons: Shorter and less heft in hand for a Dr Grip product. Typical Dr Grip eraser could be better. Pros: shake to advance lead feature is key, reliable performance from a 0.9mm mechanical pencil.
