Arko shaving soap, 12 x 75 g

I switched to "proper" shaving last year and in my quest to find the right combination of blade, razor and shaving soap I have ended up with several different types of everything. However, it's settled down to two types of blade, one 3 part razor and this Arko soap. It smells OK ( nothing outstanding just nice) but it whips up into double cream in about 15 to 20 seconds. On apication to my face it feels like silk and so does the blade when I shave. Do not mistake the glide properties of this soap for your expertise in shaving because once the soap has been removed if you undertake another pass you will certainly feel the difference! I press this soft soap into my preferred dish and it lasts ages so I'm not inclined to try much else This works and works well - and that's what you need. Nuff said.

It looks like a lot to buy but this will last and last. The shaving sticks give a really good lather and they last perhaps over a month each. Using shaving sticks is far superior to spray foams so I never end up with any razor burn. This is my second purchase of this product, the box lasting perhaps 18 months depending on how you use them. Great product

honestly got these since I needed sticks for my travel set, but the value for money pushed me to buy a bulk pack that I'm sure will last me many years, keeping the box in a sealed bag to help stop the soap drying out in storage, best lather seems to come from rubbing the soap onto the face first and then building up a lather on the face with the brush, or alternatively a mix of that and building a lather with a bowl and brush to apply on top of the base layer of soap to form a better still lather than that.

I used to use shaving foam from a spray can but decided to try these soap bars. I can't believe that we've all been persuaded by manufacturers to buy expensive foam in a can when this is so good. I wish I had changed to these years ago. You just need a shaving brush and a shallow pot to put the soap bar into. Press the bar into the pot with your thumb, smooth it down then wet the brush and rotate it around the soap to load it up. Simple.

I normally use Palmolive Shaving Soap but, I understand, this is no longer available. My last purchase of these was through eBay. No longer available, so I thought I would try Argo as available on Amazon. Could not be happier, I wish I has found these before. Despite what other reviewers have said, I quite like the scent. Will buy more when my current supply is used up.

Premetto che uso il prodotto da tempo e l'ho acquistato più volte in altri siti e lo trovo validissimo. La mia critica va al venditore che ha spedito 12 stick fabbricati nel lontano marzo 2015 e con la scadenza troppo vicina, a marzo 2022 (come da foto). Sicuramente, anche se risicati, siamo nei tempi ma senza dubbio avrei preferito un prodotto meno datato o con la scadenza a sei mesi inserita nella descrizione, visto che ora dovrò regalarli perche da solo non riuscirei a finirli entro i termini! Come se non bastasse, gli stick sono arrivati in una scatola di cartone, e non quella originale, e sono tutti tagliati storti come potete vedere dalla foto.. che dire, sono molto deluso visto che comprando Arko è la prima che mi capita.

Ich habe die Arko Rasierseife schon seit Jahren immer wieder im Einsatz. Ja, der Duft ist diskussionswürdig, zumindest solange die Seife neu ist. Ich mag ihn, er erinnert mich an den Geruch von Waschmittel in der Waschküche. Die Rasureigenschaften, Gleitfähigkeit und Pflege sind über alle Zweifel erhaben. Der Preis ist unschlagbar und wenn nicht bei Amazon, so findet man die Sticks und manchmal auch die Tiegel in den meisten türkischen Supermärkten oder bei den entsprechenden Barbieren. Eine Sache muss man wissen: Es ist eine absolut klassische Seife, (Es gibt sie seit den 50gern), was bedeutet, dass Talg enthalten ist. Vegan oder vegetarisch ist die Seife wirklich nicht. Ob mit Synthetikpinseln oder Dachshaar- Schweineborsten oder Rosshaarpinseln, der Schaum bildet sich sofort, sahnig und angenehm. Ob man nun ein Gesichtsaufschäumer ist, oder einen Stick eingetiegelt verwendet oder irgend eine andere Methode anwendet, spielt keine Rolle. Für mich ist die Arko Rasierseife gleichauf mit vielen anderen Klassikern wie zum Beispiel dem Palmolive-Stick oder Wilkinson-Stick und einfach ein superguter Dauerbrenner in meiner Sammlung. Ich nehme die Seife immer wieder mal gerne und auf Reisen ist sie meine erste Wahl, da sie mit so gut wie jedem Wasser zurecht kommt und sollte ich sie bei der Abreise im Hotel vergessen blutet mein Herz nicht allzu sehr...Kein Wunder, ich habe ja den 12er-Kasten im Schrank und arbeite gerade die anderen Vorräte ab....

Habe die Rasierseife von Palmolive nicht mehr bekommen und musste mich jetzt nach Jahren nach einer Alternative umsehen. Ich benutze sie jetzt seit ein paar Wochen Wochen und sehr zufrieden damit. Die Seife macht super Schaum und es lässt sich auch prima rasieren. Konnte bis jetzt auch noch keine Hautreizungen feststellen. Der Geruch ist intensiver als der von der Palmoliveseife , aber nicht unangenehm, wie ich finde.
