It's worth it
This intake system is for the new RAM body style, not the "Classic." The instructions provided by K&N are pretty good, FOLLOW THEM IN ORDER. Estimated time to complete: less than one beer. What you need: For the hose clamps- 5/16 nut driver(recommended) or minimum size of 1/4" flathead screwdriver For the vehicle's negative battery terminal- 10mm combo wrench or adjustable wrench or 10mm socket w/ratchet For the K&N PCV fitting- 19mm combo wrench(not required if you can open a jar of pickles) For trimming the form fitting gasket- Shears or diagonal cutters or sharp utility knife For the Filter/collar coupler- 5/32” hex wrench Four things to be gentle with during the removal and install: the air flow sensor connector, the PCV disconnect, K&N PCV fitting, and the air box removal. After following the K&N instructions that get you to the point of loosening the hose clamp on the throttle body, RESIST the urge to leverage or twist the air box out, you will break the (4)molded plastic post it sets on. The one deviation I will recommend is to ONLY HAND TIGHTEN the K&N PCV hose fitting. I threaded mine all the down by hand. You'll likely end up horse cranking on this thing if you use a wrench and will break it off like others have done. It has a deeper, guttoral sound once you creep up on 3k RPMs throughout the remaining RPMs of the motor. If you drive it like normal, you will see an increase in your fuel economy. Without a dyno of before and after, I can only take K&N's word for the ~15HP increase in a near 3-ton vehicle. The torque increase @ ~35 lb ft is very good for a truck to use for hauling though. I'd recommend the upgrade on your truck. I feel it is worth it and over the life of the vehicle you'll get more bang for the buck versus stock air filter replacements. KEEP YOUR OEM AIR BOX. WHEN YOU SELL YOUR TRUCK, PRIVATE BUYERS/STEALERSHIPS WANT THAT.

Just bought and installed this Cold Air Intake (aluminum tube) on my 22 RAM 1500 5.7L. The install only took about a half hour. I'm certain it could have been quicker, but I took my time and followed a video on YouTube. I preferred that over following the directions provided. To me, they weren't detailed enough. The video set me up for success and was easier to follow when I needed a reminder of the next step. Once install was done, I started the truck and it purred. I had taken it for a drive the night before and yeet around listening to the sound and getting a feel for the vibes and handling. I noticed a difference immediately. The truck definitely has more power. As I took the first turn on to the interstate, I was a little ambitious with the accelerator and actually got a little spin at speed that made the truck work a bit. The Mikey Thompson's were gripping the road and it felt great. The sound was so good. I could feel the grin on my face and headed straight for the interstate, and open roads. I tooled around for a while and was consistently surprised by the difference. The truck was good as it was, but now it's great. I'm excited to tow. The trucks name is Sass, she's living up to the name now more than ever. I couldn't be happier. I was looking at different option, and now I don't feel like throttle controls and what not are necessary. I'm happy and even more excited to drive my truck!

Great add - results and install
Results and Install... Result --- 2020 RAM 1500 5.7 Etorque, interior sound with a "light foot" is barely noticeable. Sound wide open throttle has an obvious deep growl as you would expect -- obvious airflow improvement. I am just 200 miles into the add, and mileage seems to be about 0.5MPG better, maybe a bit more -- which is what I was hoping for. Passing on the freeway wide open throttle, am I accelerating faster, unsure, but the sound sure makes you think so!!! I believe the power gain and mileage gain are an obvious win. Install -- is very easy but there is always something to mess up. In my case, when pulling up on the factory airbox I had 2 of the 4 plastic pins the box sits on break off. I watched videos of this and it seemed that people kind of "wrestled it off" -- so for you, some upward pull in front, then back, then repeat, should get it off without breaking those pins. I used a tie-wrap through the resulting holes no problem for securing it. Also note there was a prior review of the system rubbing on a wiring harness of an Etorque motor. See my pics, everything worked fine. The wiring to the air temp/flow sensor is a bit tight but still clipped on ok. Also the 90 degree NPT fitting mentioned, hand tightening this is sufficient, no real need for a wrench and note the orientation in the instructions that aligns with the hose. All very easy to do. A great first add to the truck!

Little damage
2022 Ram Laramie, For the price you pay honestly expect new it did have a few hiccups however nothing major that would make me wanna return it. Didn’t have any issues installing and have noticed so far it has helped with the fuel mileage on my truck.

Hear that Hemi ROAR with this K&N Intake.
Great product, decent price and shipped fast! Installed this in my 2019 Ram Rebel 12 Crew Cab. My MPG went from a solid 10.8 to 14.0 and that's with my using the accelerator pedal to hear my 5.7L Hemi roar. And roar it does with this cold air intake. Instructions were clear and concise, install was straight forward and took minutes. A little pricey but I'd say well worth the investment. Shippped fast, packaged well and K&N has proven to work products. If I had to say anything negative... I'd say in 5th gear on the 8s peed auto trans in the Rebel, it seems to hit a flat spot with the K&N intake installed that wasn't there with the stock air box. It doesn't bother me that much and it gives me a reason to use my manual shifter on the steering wheel (like paddle shifters, but buttons) to breeze through 5th. All in all, highly recommended product and vendor!

I am absolutely satisfied with the K & N cold air intake. I have a 2019 1500 Laramie and it definitely made a difference under load. The product was easy to install in less than 45 minutes with polishing, stickers and tool clean up. It came undamaged and everything was there and it was delivered by Purolator. I’m going on a road trip tomorrow so I’m excited to really see what it sounds like throughout rpm.

Felt a INSTANT horsepower and torque difference as soon as i installed. The sound also became more aggressive from the engine. And fuel efficiency definitely improved. Install took less than 30 minutes. 10/10 product
