I bought this item not for a cell phonebut , for money and credit cards while at the beach. it works and I enjoy using it.

I bought these for my Samsung Galaxy S5 phone. The phone fit perfectly in it. I had no problem operating the phone through the case. I was able to take clear pictures and movies in the rain. I didn't try taking the phone with me snorkeling, but that's because I have a special housing for my actual camera which I take better pictures with than the phone. There were people on my snorkel trip that used their phones in cases like these.

It may be weatherproof but I don't really care; I bought it to hold my passport and this is way too narrow, passport book can't even be jammed into it. It's also too narrow for my Galaxy Note 3 but at least it didn't claim it would fit.
