Unequal Halo 3 Lightweight Protective Headgear (2 oz.) with Military-Grade Patented Composite, Coated Aramid Fabric, Airilon Comfort Foam

My 17 year old daughter is a goalkeeper. She always refused to wear a concussion band until she got her 2nd concussion. She asked me to buy her one. We did some research, decided to start off light as there are bands out there that are very bulky. The day we received this in the mIl, my daughter used it at practice the same night. Not only did it keep her awake warm, she liked the feel and it looks like a headband. No one questioned her with what she was wearing because it resembles a thick headband. She wears it all the time now and will even forget she's wearing it.

I have worn headgear for 15 years as I have had multiple concussions from playing rugby. I now play soccer and without some type of protection see stars with heading the ball. I also run a concussion management program at my healthcare facility. I have work the unequal for 4 games without any issues. It is a little snug but loses up with stretching prior to donning. It’s lighter than the Storelli but seems as protective. I find the Full90 the most adjustable and comfortable fit but less durable. Without a significant head collision I can’t really compare their effectiveness. The only one that was not effective was the forcefield. I am happy with the unequal comfort and ease of donning so plan to use it for the rest of my outdoor and into indoor season. I was impressed with their literature as well as their willingness to place some form of guarantee behind their product

I really like this, it keeps sweat out from getting into and stinging my eyes/bothering my contacts during soccer games. It protects my noggin when heading the ball and doesn’t affect the performance of my headers. Like the directions say, if it feels a little tight to pull all the way around your head, keep it partially on your head for a minute and it’ll heat up and be easier to stretch the remaining way around your head. It’s comfortable during games, I don’t notice it much besides the occasional adjustment. After the game it’s sometimes quite soaked with sweat but it dries pretty quickly (I don’t have to wring it out or do anything special), and -miraculously- it doesn’t have any smell and still doesn’t to this day. If it’s the microbial thing, it works wonders. I’ve been using the Halo for over a year now and it’s still in perfect shape, no loose threads, smell, or loss of stretchiness. Really awesome! Well-made, quality product. Would definitely recommend :)

Comfort, control, and protection make this the go to headgear for my daughter moving forward. The headgear out of the box is comfortable and allows for quick adjustment on the head as the game is going on.The Halo 3 allows my player to head the ball comfortably without taking away from the ability to redirect the ball. This is definitely a game changer for her, protecting her head and allowing for comfort during play.

Bought this for my daughter after a double concussion in soccer! Was the best $50 investment ever! After her playing all soccer season with it on it stays where it needs to and also keeps her hair out of her face! But mainly it did what it wa suppose to do! She hardly felt any impact at all the few times she had to head bunt the ball! I think all the schools should be using these! A couple of the other kids on her team parents bought them as well! Very easy to clean also just soap and water and hand wash and dry by morning!

My teen daughter received concussion during soccer game. 2 months ago. We had bought another type/brand of headgear 2 years ago for prevention but she stopped wearing it after a few weeks b/c it caused her to feel overheated during games and self conscious of the design. Needed to find something to help reduce risk of a 2nd one. So far very happy with the unequal Halo 3. She’s worn it for games and practice for past 3 weeks and states it’s comfortable. She forgets it’s even on. Looks just like a headband. The Virginia Tech study supporting impact reduction for this model was a huge selling point for me. I recommend reading it. I understand no headgear can fully prevent a concussion. However headgear that has proven reduction of impact that my daughter happily will wear is money well spent in my book!

After my son got 2 concussions I researched & chose this headband. This season we've had no injuries & HE WEARS IT! At 11 yrs old he wants to look cool & this has given him extra confidence since others have complimented his "headband". He's scoring avg of 3.5 goals a game so is in the rough & tumble of everything, my mind is a little more at ease knowing he has more protection. Just wish there was a way to better protect his spinal cord but this is a great investment.

Daughter was playing soccer and already had 1 concussion. We thought this was the answer to ease our worries. However it caused compression headaches in her which triggered migraines. If you are prone to migraines please be advised this fits snug and is supposed to fit snug however for us it did not work. I will say return policy is GREAT! Once we emailed company and explained situation they gave a full refund. They were very inderstanding
