I had to take a break changing out my tie rods just to take a pic and leave this review. After buying and returning a harbor freight Maddox tie rod removal tool yesterday I decided to have this u bolt tool overnighted to see if it would work and I'm glad I did. I tried a number of different tools including wrenches and the only thing that worked was this cheap little thing. This makes the job so much easier and quicker and actually works as opposed to other tools and "hacks" that I've seen online. I used this tool with some PB Blaster, a 1/2 breaker bar, a 1/2 to 3/8 adapter and a 3/8 24 inch extension all as pictured. 5 stars, I 100% recommend.

Worked perfectly to remove 2 tie rods and install 2 tie rods on a 2014 dodge journey. However I immediately replaced the nuts that come with it to 2 stronger nuts before using to avoid any stripping of the nuts since the nuts that come with this looked identical to nuts on a different one that stripped immediately. I wish they could use stronger/better quality nuts with this. But the tool itself did the job and id advice everyone to not risk using it without switching the nuts to higher quality nuts first before using and then you should habe no issues with this.

Works great but not made from a hard steel so I can get damaged easily.

The Toolwiz Inner Tie Rod Removal Tool - 3/8”, worked very well for me it made it easier to remove the inner tied rods on my 2006 Honda Pilot. It it sturdy, simple, and easy tool to use. I am happy to have purchased this tool it made life easier.

The concept is great, the price is great, but the trade off is soft metal. $12 bucks was just too good to be true and the threads stripped by the second set of inner tierods. When it did work, it worked flawlessly in the tight space that I had and was plenty strong to break the tierod loose. If you're a mechanic and a traditional inner tierod tool is not an option (some vehicles don't have clearance for a big tube) then keep one or two of these on hand. They're cheap enough and you can bill them as shop supplies, unless you want to spent a couple hundred on professional grade tool.

Perfect, did the job nicely. Loosened and then tightened 30mm inner tie rod. Minimal wear aswell
