Fun easy ice cream maker
Love this ice cream maker. It's small and easy to use. Takes up very little space in the freezer. Makes the perfect single serving size, about 6 oz. And it's very affordable. For best results keep the freezing bowl in the freezer, so that it is always ready for use when you have a craving for a cold sweet treat, but can't get to the store, or maybe you want to make your own flavour. Several recipes are provided, or you can use your own. Once you've mixed your ice cream base, take the bowl from the freezer and pour in the mixture. Quickly mix with the Provided spoon. The creamy blend becomes a nice soft serve ice cream in a few minutes. Can be put in freezer to become firmer. Great purchase if you want to make ice cream, but don't have room for a large machine, or you just like to make a single serving.

Great for a keto or low carb diet!! 😋
Like most here I wanted low carb ice cream without needing to make a gallon. I’m on a keto / low carb diet and can only have 20 grams a day. This is perfect! Ice cream came out great! And I can enjoy a treat with my kids. It was ready in less than 10 minutes and fun to make. My ice cream came out to 8 grams of carbs for 1 serving. I made Caramel Cheesecake Ice Cream. 😋 Here are my ingredients - this makes 2-3 servings, so I put about half away in the fridge to make ice cream again tomorrow: Caramel Cheesecake Ice Cream 8oz Cream Cheese (softened to room temp) 1/2 cup of heavy cream 1/4 cup water Torani sugar free caramel syrup pinch of salt 1tsp vanilla extract Whip the heavy cream with a mixer until you get soft peaks. Throw in the softened cream cheese. Add in the water, Torani, salt and vanilla as you mix. Mix on high until smooth. Done! Stick it in the fridge for like an hour or more to get cold. Then grab your Zoku and put 1/3 to half of it in the bowl and mix mix. Ice cream in less than 10 mins. Enjoy!

Good little bowl
Works good. Takes a bit of effort to scrape down the sides, but it's not too bad. It's a great single serving size. I've made frozen yogurt, ice cream made with milk and protein powder and ice cream with milk, vanilla and monk fruit sweetner. I like that I can make a guilt free treat while sitting on the couch watching tv.

Portion control for frozen treats
I'm trying to eat healthier and cut calories but who can resist ice cream during a hot summer. Some people think this is a bit small but it works for me. It IS small so it doesn't take up too much room in the freezer. Mine is always there ready to be used. In addition to portion control, it allows me to experiment with different flavors, combinations and concoctions and not be stuck with a lot of something that doesn't thrill me. Right now I am experimenting with sorbets as well as cottage cheese ice creams (yesterday was peanut butter cup made with peanut powder and a crushed peanut butter cup). Next will be some fruit flavors. It doesn't take long to have a soft-serve ice cream but it can become harder and icier if you eat it at too leisurely a pace. Another use for it is to keep store-bought ice cream cold. Again keeping with portion control, I sometimes buy ice cream pops or bars. They can start to melt in the heat so I rest them in the Zoku. If I break down and buy a container of ice cream, I serve it in the Zoku. The parts of the ice cream maker come apart easily (and assemble easily) for easy cleaning. Just dry it thoroughly before putting it back in the freezer. If you have a Zoku slushy maker (as I do), I think this basically works the same way. It is just shaped differently.

Almost good.
It does make a couple of servings of soft served ice cream: note my freezer is set at 0°F. I like the silicone ring around the outer lip for scraping ice cream off. The size is just right. This is a great option for people with diabetes to make low carb no sugar ice cream because stores/brands don’t specialize in that market. The only con I can see is the outer bowl doesn’t stay connected to the rim of the inner bowl so the inner bowl moves around a lot. It seems like the inner bowl expands after freezing and then becomes too tall for the outer bowl to hold steady.

Homemade ice cream in just minutes!
I purchased a ZOKU Ice Cream Maker as a Christmas gift to myself. Best gift I got!! I love it...use it several times a week. You can use an ice cream mix but it is not necessary. I make my own using milk, sugar and vanilla extract and in just a few minutes I have ice cream that tastes like the snow ice cream I've loved since I was a child. I bought two more for birthday gifts for friends.

Very Aggravating!
It's so frustrating. :( Yesterday I tried it for the first time by pouring in some chocolate flavored almond milk and telling my husband to scrape. After a few minutes he said that there was a 1/4" thick frozen layer that would not be scraped off because it was stuck so fast. The little bit that he was able to scrape off was just like a chocolate slushy - was nothing like ice cream. So this evening I decided to try it with Greek yogurt. I put in some yogurt & a little honey, and immediately the exact same thing happened! About 1/4" thick frozen rock hard layer coats the inside of the bowl and I can't scrape or chip it off for the life of me. And because of that, the remaining liquid isn't able to come into contact with the metal bowl, so it doesn't freeze. Also, the little bit that I was able to chip off had the icy consistently of a slushy, not of ice cream. This thing is making me mad! What am I doing wrong??

It took a couple tries, but this little device really works to make you a quick and relatively easy home made ice cream. I'm on a low carb diet, so I had to modify the chocolate recipe, but it turned out great in the soft ice cream mode, and it tasted great!!!
