Helps with calmness
With all that's going on in 2020, I wanted to try something that would help me be more relaxed during the day and to help me sleep at night.I've only been taking these for a few days now. I don't know if it's just my mind making me think I'm more relaxed or if the pills actually work. I am sleeping better at night. Instead of 5-6 hours of sleep, I am now getting a full 7-8 hours. And just that extra sleep is helping me feel more alert during that day.I've had no side effects as of today. Pills are easy to swallow and I haven't had any after taste.I'll continue taking these to see if they continue to do as well as they are now.

Herbs can be potent and one capsule gave me a low grade headache and made me feel a little dizzy. I did sleep well that night.

Early Results Are Positive
I decided to try this supplement because it claimed to promote relaxation, elevate mood, and provide better sleep--exactly what I needed. I started taking them just yesterday, so this is an early review of the results. I took two doses with or after food, as instructed. I took one with lunch and the other shortly after supper.Normally, I lie awake waiting for sleep to happen, even with taking an OTC sleep aid. I will read, but then I still have to force myself to put the book down. Last night, I was very relaxed. I only got to the second page of reading when I was suddenly too sleepy to read. Rather than lying awake recounting every single thing that has ever happened in my life (which, my sister says, is because I have a memory foam mattress ;-) ), I don't even remember actually trying to sleep. I have felt much more relaxed today, and things today have not annoyed me to the degree that they did before. If it's the supplements, I hope they keep working!That being said, they did seem a tad pungent, but it's not a lasting taste or smell and not nearly as strong as valerian, although the herb jatamansi hails from the same scientific family as valerian (but so does honeysuckle). It has a blend that includes peppers, and I can smell the pepper. It reminds me of 7th grade when we had to use different materials to fill in our maps, and while others were using rice and pasta, I raided the spice cabinet. :-D It was very aromatic. This smells like my 7th grade map, but if it helps me feel better and get better sleep, I'll take it!

Seems to be effective...
I take this along with Ashwagandha to help me get to sleep faster. I lay awake a lot less waiting to fall asleep, for sure. I do, however, still wake up after only 2-3 hours, but that's a whole other problem on its own. I suffer from a pretty hardcore case of insomnia that I got from the service, so getting to sleep and staying asleep is a challenge I haven't quite figured out a solution to, but this does seem to aid with at least part of the problem. Hey, I'll take anything I can get at this point.The smell of this is really potent. I do occasionally get burps that smell of it. It's not terrible, like fish burps. It just smells of strong herb of some kind. I know ginseng is a root, but it kind of reminds of it. Not the actual smell, but the potency and the kind of scent it has. It doesn't bother me. Overall, worth a try for those that suffer with sleep and want only natural solutions to your problems.

I think they chilled me out a little...
I took a couple of these as a dose, and felt a bit sleepier after a few hours. I have yet to try a methodical longer-term experiment, and I'm sure results will vary with age, metabolism, and other medical/genealogical factors, but it's worth a shot if you're looking to improve your sleep.It's always difficult to assay the impact of these types of products without actually conducting a trial, and as a reviewer, my trial would be a sample of one, but what I'd do is:1. Get a sleep tracker, like an inexpensive fitness watch that 'tracks' sleep.2. Spend a number of days, like 5, consecutively, with your current sleep schedule, ensuring that you go to bed at the same time each night. Evaluate your current mix of deep/REM sleep.3. Repeat the same routine with a specific dose of the sleep aid taken at the same time each day. Evaluate the change in your sleep.The only other thing I noted was that I felt a little irritation in my throat after swallowing. It was minor, but similar to taking an uncoated aspirin.

So far so good 😊
So far I am really happy with this Jatamansi supplement. It arrived quickly and well packaged. The capsules are standard sized capsules and easy to swallow. There is no discernible taste or odor. I haven’t noticed any negative side effects. I have only been taking it for about a week so I cannot say much more but if anything changes, I will update my review!
