Gets the job done ... perfectly
I read the great reviews and bought this tool. It definitely lived up to its reputation. It is well made, fit very well, and performed flawlessly under load. It made quick work of removing and installing the pulley (in my case, a 3.8L Mustang. If it only could have removed the stubborn water pump gasket residue ... great product! Don't even think of saving $20 on a cheaper tool. You definitely get what you pay for.

Great compact tool
Really like this tool. I was about to order a set in a case that would take up too much room but this thing takes up less room and does everything I need it to do. Easily removes and installs pulleys. A couple of notes though, like another user said, the face of the tool is just a bit thick to slide onto the pulley so I used a die grinder with a roloc wheel to just take off the texture and smooth out the face and now it fits perfect. Took about 30 seconds with a roloc wheel. Also there is a hole in the remover part and the instructions never mention this but you can put a 3/8 ratchet extension in here to hold the remover while you drive the bolt in to remove pulleys. Also dont forget the little sleeve when you go to remove a pulley like I did and bugger up the threads in the pump. Luckily I caught something wasnt going right soon enough to stop and start over with the sleeve and I was able to repair the threads with a tap.

Well made - Here are some much needed photos w/ Northstar info
Update 10/6/15: I ended up doing the valve cover replacement on a Northstar V8- wow, that job sucked! Takes a while, but do-able. The rear takes the longest but to get the front one off, I had to loosen 2 engine mounts and tilt the motor back. In the end, the OTC 4681 isn't the ideal tool for this job for two reasons: 1) The flange which grips the pulley is a bit too thick- I had to mill .020" off the bottom to make it fit nicely in the pulley groove. Easy if you have a knee mill, but I'm betting most people don't. You could use a grinder in a pinch though. (See second to last pic) 2) The stub at the end of the installer bolt is the wrong size for a Northstar camshaft, which requires an M8 thread size. I ended up making a new installer bolt with some fine thread 5/8" rod I had laying around, an M8 bolt, a roll pin, and a 5/8" nut. I used a lathe to drill and tap the end of the 5/8 rod to M8. I sawed off the threaded portion off the M8 bolt off and threaded it into the 5/8 rod and welded the 5/8 nut to one end of the rod. (See last pic) Overall, this tool is very well made and will work fine for the exact intended application of alt and PS pulleys. Original Review: I just received the OTC 4681 Power Steering Pulley Puller- that's a mouthful. I've had a longer format puller from KD Tools (I think) that had the two removable jaws but I needed to pull the camshaft pulley which drives the water pump on a Northstar V8 engine and my old tool was too long- this will definitely leave me room to spare. OTC typically makes great tools and this one looks well built, although made in Taiwan. I've added some photos so you can get a better idea of the dimensions and exactly what the individual pieces are. Notice the hole on the backside of the tool- should be able to fit a 3/8" extension in there to hold it still. Will report back on how well it works.

Works well, compact storage.
Used to rebuild a Chrysler PS pump and had no difficulty. Worked way better than the rental tools I've used in the past. Definitely a keeper, but I wish I had a better way to store it so none of its pieces get lost.

Well worth the cost versus discount tool store models
Phenomenal product. Really worth the extra cost. I bought this after being cheap and getting one from a discount tool store. YOU KNOW WHICH ONE. It mangled my power steering pulley, and I was unable to remove it from my 94 Mustang. So much for $20. Well, $20, plus the cost of a new Pulley which is like $85 used on eBay these days. Well, I ponied up the $40 for the OTC puller, and it made short work of the pulley on my car. The damaged pulley flange was no match, and the OTC puller did the job, with the pulley popping and snorting the whole time. Well worth the money, some tools aren’t worth cheaping out on, this is one.

Got the job done first time -
I was a little shocked at first when I saw this OTC tool was Asian-made, but I put it to the test on a very rusty/frozen GM power steering pump pulley that had already defeated the puller/installer tool set I had , then went on to break one of the jaws off my Pittman arm puller. There is a hole in the side of the tool for you to stick a bar or rod into to hold while turning the bolt. I lubed the threads with anti-seize compound before putting pedal to metal. A real hard twist produced a 'pop' so I knew it had succeeded. All downhill from there. Good tool.

Good product but didn't need it for my BMW 335i (3-series/E90/E9X, N54/N55)
I bought this to replace the power steering pulley on my BMW but realized later I didn't need a puller or installer for my application. Nonetheless, this is a well-made product and I own several Jeeps and other cars so I kept it around for the day I am going to need it. It's an ingenious design that makes it possible to remove and install a huge variety of pulleys and I doubt you will find one that isn't supported by this tool.

Good price worked precisely as it was designed

The remover function was a joy to use. The tool gets a positive hold on the pulley and only hand tools were required (although an extension on the spanner helped). Unfortunately I could not use this tool to install the pulley as the supplied bolt does not fit the M8x1.25 thread inside the pump's shaft. Still, I was so impressed by this tool's performance that I purchased the OTC 4530 kit that has all the bits for the installation job.
