Indistinguishable from gin in a G&T
As someone who cannot drink anymore yet LOVED gin and tonics, I loved this product. The bottle is absolutely beautiful, with premium packaging and a clear, clean look. The cork is tight, and the viscosity of the liquid is nice and mirrors liquor. It smells like a gin with pine-forward botanicals and a crisp, festive nose. As a whole, this product looks and feels expensive, premium, and top-shelf. Neat: Neat, it's definitely delicious, and it gives the feeling of a gin, but it's very watery at first. After you've had a drink, you feel like you've just had gin, but when you're drinking it, it's like a synthehol (Star Trek) version of gin. G&T: Some of the best G&T's I've ever had. It has that botanical feel, juniper/pine nose, floral notes, and intense burn that you expect of a gin. I first used Fever Tree Elderflower tonic with the juice of one lime and 2 oz gin, but this gin is so good that the complexity of the Fever Tree took away from the gin flavor. I then used a Canada Dry gin and did 1:1 gin/lime juice to tonic, and it was fantastic. Refreshing, delicious, and absolutely something I'll purchase again. Great job, Ritual! I'll be a life-long customer. Can't wait for the tequila!

Cloudy, viscous, and oddly flavored
I enjoy gin for its complexity and variety. I love a good juniper-forward gin. I like my gin neat, in a dry martini, and I prefer a gin Rickey to a G&T, because I don’t want the sugar to overpower my gin. In an effort to cut down on my alcohol consumption, I explored zero proof “gin alternatives”. Most of them I did not like, and I’m sorry to say that Ritual is the one I liked least. I was a bit put off by the cloudiness and viscosity. And while I appreciate the juniper-forwardness of it, I found the pepper-as-alcohol-standin to be too clever by half. I like pepper, but I didn’t enjoy it here. I’m working my way through the bottle (nice think-glass bottle, btw) because I don’t want to east but the only way I ca stand this is with tonic and lots of lime. Lots and lots of lime. Honestly there is only one gin-alternative that I like, and I really like it. I won’t name it here, but I think what that one got right, and Ritual and the others get wrong, is that it doesn’t try to taste like gin. Only gin tastes like gin. The one that I like is gin-like in that it is a botanical distillate, only without alcohol. No hot-pepper burn, no pine or juniper, just a lot of flavor and complexity, and is perfect with club soda and a hint of lime, or even straight up with a twist and a dash of bitters. Different people like different things, so maybe you will like this. But I have to say that in trying to be too much like gin, Ritual makes a strange and not terribly enjoyable gloopy goo.

BEST GIN ALTERNATIVE
I have no idea what the other reviews are talking about. The taste is exquisite. Gin is generally my first choice/go-to spirit, and while this gin ALTERNATIVE does not taste exactly like gin (BECAUSE ITS NOT), it does have a wonderfully pleasant taste on its own. I generally mix mine with some fresh lime juice, agave syrup, and a splash of sparkling soda. It makes a FANTASTIC mocktail. I will never go back to any other nonalcoholic brand. This is my honest review, i have not been paid or given anything in exchange for this review. I purchased this (and every other spirit by ritual) out of my own pocket. Give it a try! It won’t disappoint

You need to stick with cocktails that complement mint
My favorite drink in the world is a French 75. I found a great dealcoholized processco and was so looking forward to mixing it with this. The disappointment when I did was a little ridiculous, even for me. It was horrible. I took a sip and spit it out and poured out the drink. The mint and capsaicin flavors from this "gin" we way too strong and it was nasty. Not one to give up, i tried a Moscow mule, using sugar free ginger beer, a simple syrup made from Splenda, and fresh lime and mint leaves. This was really good and refreshing. This got multiple thumbs up from drinkers at a party. I then tried my summer drink of muddled mint, blueberries, and limes with seltzer and this "gin" - again, tasted great. So the conclusion is if your recipe involves mint, this is a solid choice. If mint would make your cocktail taste funky, skip this. One note: The capsaicin really does burn your throat though (at least mine) so it does limit how much/fast you can drink this.

Other products are good, but the Gin is not. Can't return item to Amazon.
I truly love what this company is doing by making zero-proof spirits, providing an alternative to alcohol. To be fair, I've tried the Ritual Rum which I'd give 4/5 stars. It mimics the smell, look, and taste of dark rum very nicely. Their tequila I'd give 3/4 stars, as it has a little "bite", looks and smells like tequila, but it is a little more watery. I bought the rum and tequila from different sources so I didn't review these two on Amazon. Now, the gin. This was the product I looked forward to most, since it's featured first on Ritual's website as award winning. Unfortunately, it fell far short in look, smell, and especially taste. Other reviews are correct in saying it has an odd taste which to me, doesn't taste like gin at all. I do not recommend the gin product at all. IMPORTANT TO KNOW: When buying directly from Ritual, they have a satisfaction guarantee on their website. I recommend buying directly through them. When you buy via Amazon, AMAZON WILL NOT LET YOU RETURN THE PRODUCT. This is not listed anywhere on the product description or ordering page. When I tried to return the gin, I fell into an infinite loop and could only resolve my issue via a chatbot. Refund is still pending.

A good alternative for gin.
Love the 0 alcohol. Taste is interesting. I like it with tonic water and lime. Has a slight bitter after taste. I find it expensive.
