Works but must have patience to learn
This encoder works OK but has a few drawbacks.Setting up the encoder takes some time. Don't expect this to be a plug-n-play solution. You need to follow the directions (poorly written obviously Chinese to English poor translation) to change IP addresses and get the device onto your own internal network. Then you need to use STREAM KEYS from sites like Facebook and Youtube. If you are unfamiliar with setting up IP addresses and URLs this is NOT the device for you.To get this to work (Facebook example) you need to set up the stream keys to get it to stream. You will also need to set up the proper encoding parameters. For me, I wanted the best quality audio for live music performances. You'll have to use the best quality audio settings if you want music to sound good. By default, the audio settings on this device are set to poor quality. Once the audio settings are set proper, you will get better quality audio. The video quality is OK. I've experienced better quality using the same cameras with LiveU encoder. But that is over $1000 so this encoder does a good job considering the cost. I plug into my router for streaming. I have only used it's wifi function to remotely log into it to adjust settings. I have tested the logo overlays and they work. NOTE: the manual and web-based interface give specs for using BMP files, however you can use PNG files with transparent backgrounds. Upload the PNG following the directions for the BMP files, just make it a PNG instead. In the settings, you are only given the option to utilize txt or BMP logo, select BMP and choose the logo from the drop down. The manual does not tell you PNG is compatible, but PNG works. When streaming to Facebook, you will probably want to check the box in your Facebook account to Enable Perpetual Stream Key. If you don't, you will have to go into your facebook settings and obtain a new stream key EVERY TIME YOU DO A NEW STREAM. Perpetual Stream Key will allow you to use the same key over and over.I did run into a problem that I have not solved. I streamed to a friend's Facebook without a problem. When I went back to stream again the next day, Facebook kept kicking back an error. No explanation and we could not stream to that account at all. I changed the stream key to my account and then tested another and streamed successfully, but we could never stream to my friend's account. He ended up streaming using his cell phone. It appeared to be blocking that one account?NOTE: there is no power switch. It is always on when connected to the power supply or battery. I briefly tested with a Sony NP battery. It worked, but I did not test for battery life. When you stream, you have to instigate the stream using a computer (I tried using a smart phone but had no luck). So even though this can be powered by a battery I don't think it's good for use outdoors, roaming reporting etc. It's good for indoors where you are able to connect via wifi or network cable.

Eliminated OBS complexity, Rock solid streaming
Our Church purchased the hdmi with wifi version in early 2020 to enable streaming during the pandemic. We had tried using only OBS software, but it was very complex for our volunteers and we had issues getting a stable stream for the duration of the service. We then purchased this encoder and all it takes to go live is to turn on the camera and a couple mouse clicks in the Facebook account. Our initial network was based on a cell phone's wifi hotspot function but thankfully we now have a hardwired network connection with much higher speeds and lower latency. The encoder's built in wifi and battery make it possible to go mobile if we need too.We feed the audio from the church's sound system into our camera and had no issues with audio/video sync at all. I do like the external audio input on the encoder if we ever have an HDMI source that doesn't include the desired audio. We are hoping to stream to both Facebook and Youtube simultaneously in the next few weeks using HLS via the latest firmware.Linda in support has been very responsive to my emails and the manual will get you up on Facebook right away! Our model is the UHE265-1WB.

Great device. Great price.
Work horse for an incredible price. Great and persistent support by Linda at URayTech to solve my issue with a defective encoder and get it replaced. Thank you!My fifth one of these encoders. Use them regularly to broadcast live sporting events. Replacing $1500 Teradeks with these and they do the job just as well for a fraction of the price. Easy setup if you know streaming. Allow multiple streams. Will take analog audio source. Use standard Sony batteries which is incredibly convenient. Only real drawbacks are that some models do not have an on/off button so you have to pop the battery to power off, and you can’t do config on the device. But they do have WiFi and you can use that to config with a cell phone. All in all they work brilliantly for the price.

Great price for a powerful encoder
I have used a series of you uray encoders for various local network as well as various cloud based streaming platforms. Once you get into the interface its pretty easy to setup. You will need to know how to navigate IP addresses and set all your encoding preemptors but I have also found these encoders to be more robust then some of the bigger named competitors, I don't know why but the certainty don't need to be restarted as often as there competitors.
