Excellent Quality
Doesn't come with nuts to actually install the tweeters with universal adaptors. I was able to install with superglue, but it was not easy. Sounds beautiful, what I've come to expect from jbl stage series, as I have them on both of my cars.

Great speakers for the money
What you WON"T get with these JBL Stage 3 607 Components: Deep bass of any kind - at least not from the front door speaker channels of a Gen 2 Prius! What you WILL get: Impressive mids (for the price) and screaming highs. I installed these to replace the front speakers of my 2007 Prius, which was equipped with the JBL "upgrade" package. I used this component set as a direct replacement, because one of my factory tweeters was not working. Since the factory JBL "upgraded" sound system already separates the midrange from the tweeters in the front, I did not need to use the enclosed crossovers for my application. By the time I removed the 6.5" midrange speakers from the doors (which were larger and heavier than the new 607's), I found that for my application these new speakers could have been another 1/2" larger in diameter. But not to be denied, I ended up using pliers to straighten up some of the lip of the door and drilled the holes for the new speakers, then I used the clips in the package along with some 2 sided mounting tape and it turned out just fine. For the tweeters, there was no way to directly replace the factory tweeters, so I ended up removing the factory tweeters, replaced the panel, then mounted the new tweeters directly on the metal grills that would normally cover them. It looks a tiny bit trashy, but the kids saw them and thought the little red exclamation point was kind of cool. These speakers sound twice as good as what I removed. Drum shots, snares, cymbals and horns sound LOUD and CLEAR! Guitars sound pretty good too. I am impressed that so much clarity and volume come through for the amount of money these things cost! They definitely met my need for an upgrade from factory. It's a shame JBL put together such a muddy sounding "upgrade" stereo package in these cars, especially for the effort they put into the outboard amp and all those speakers! They say the factory speakers were 2-ohm, but they sounded so bad I have a hard time believing it. When I installed these (and they ARE 3-ohm), they sound like they are pulling all the sound that little amp can put to them. My next step will be to add a little bass by installing a powered sub, bridged off of the leads from the amp to the rear door "subwoofers".

From the specs it looked like a good fit, installed and didn't sound near what I was expecting. Looking to get a different pair to replace them.

Driving Around Without a Tweeter
paid a lot, got a defective tweeter, really wanted full audio experience in my car but did not get that.
