Fantastic, comprehensive and EMPOWERING.

I have found this to be an excellent resource to learn more than what is written in the Bible about these women. I've looked at other books about this topic but found this to be the most informative. My Sunday School Class which is all women are using this book for our lessons each week. We take one woman a week for our lesson. We have had some wonderful discussions concerning what we see in the Bible or can just imagine what it might have been in that time frame. I even purchased five extra books @all less than $2 for those in the class that couldn't afford them.

This series of Lawrence Richards is very good. It gives a nice perspective to the elements of Jesus life. I find it facinating how he studies a parable, gives background to the culture, and makes it very easy to read. This is not a heady text, but is written for the common man. I have read other more scholarly publications by Lawrence Richards, and this series is a whole lot easier to digest!

A very good and fascinating look at the biblical portrayal of woman in the bible in the situations that they found themselves caught up in and the out comes in problems that came upon them.

What a bless to read about the lives of all these women and learn more about the cultures and customs of the times in which they lived. Even more exciting was to see the ways in which Our Lord Jesus interacted with these women in the N.T. Paul as well. Truly revolutionary. I have bought two copies and wore them out. I highly recommend this book to other women.

The media could not be loaded. Haven't had a chance to read the book but I will be returning it for a new one because it was so badly bent I made the video so that you can see...once I get the new one I will repost what I think about it.

Brilliant book as it shows the women in the bible then you see how they handled situations and how you can in today's world.

I like the way it's laid out - the woman of the bible, what was going on at that time & then application to today. My only complaint is the very slow delivery of these books - more than 3 weeks & for several a month - from Amazon. This is the first time I've had such delayed delivery service from Amazon.

Book was in great condition. Fast shipping. Author inferred a lot of personal opinions that aren't necessarily facts. But it is a very interesting book overal.
