Funnel Cake Starter Kit

The cake mix that comes with this starter kit isn't too bad. It's a little tricky getting the consistency right and takes a little bit of practice to get the cakes to turn out not looking like splattered blobs. The flavor is pretty good and it doesn't take a whole lot of cooking oil so there's very little mess or waste. I recommend scaling the measurements down and make a few different batches, rather than mixing the whole bag into one batch like the recipe calls for. This way you can work it out and get it just the way you like it. It also takes a little bit of practice during the pour in order to get that classic "swirled" look that most people are used to with funnel cakes. The recipe book is lacking a little bit with advice on how to do this, but otherwise I'm completely satisfied with this product.

I purchased this for an employee loves funnel cakes. He told me he heated some oil and poured cake batter into it and didn't get funnel cakes out of it. That was hilarious to me. So I came home and searched Amazon and found this one. He absolutely loves it. He told me it was the best gift he had received in a while. He also told me he would probably gain a couple of pounds because he eats funnel cakes frequently now. I give this a 5 star because the price is reasonable and it made him so happy. I think I will purchase a couple more for gifts to others.

Product is easy to use. Kids loved it. All equipment needed in box. Only need a whisk, mixing bowl, water and oil. Ring is small enough to fit it 8in pan. Smaller pan is better as the oil does not stay in ring and you need to fill half way. Cooks quickly. Tastes good. Makes about 7-8 med size cakes (from 1 pouch; product comes with 2) depending how much batter you put in ring. Great starter kit. Now you only need batter next time.

the only reason I gave this funnel cake kit 4 stars, is because I had to cook it myself, the only difference between this funnel cake mix, and the outside vendor mixes, is that I don't have to stand in a long line, and fork out the $5 per cake. My final prognosis GOOOOD CAKE!!!

When I received my product the plastic bags of funnel cake mix had small holes in them from the metal ring they had laid against in the box. I completed the online survey of my product satisfaction and received an email almost immediately stating that they would correct the situation with a refund since the funnel cake mix was not available any longer. I appreciate a company that cares about customer satisfaction and I will definitely purchase from them again.

this was just like having funel cake at the fair! so delicious. so easy to use, 3 steps. no way to mess this up. my kids love love love it. we have old movie night and now instead of popcorn I make funnel cakes. literally takes minutes and a one pan clean up and the wash of the filter it comes with. couldn't be made any simpler.

Best little funnel cake starter kit for a family at home or camping. Follow the directions on box but my husband cook ours outside in a small deep skillet on a gas burner. You will also need a grill thermometer not in kit. Heat oil to 350 cook cakes 1 1/2 mins. each side is perfect. Our family dinners now have funnel cakes for dessert with all kinds of toppings. This product is wonderful. It contains everything you need to make delicious funnel cakes. I love the pitcher, it makes it easier than using an actual funnel. Also the tongs and the metal ring make it easy to fix funnel cakes. Love it.
