Great gage!!!
As a refrigeration technician, i love this gage and i also bought the low side gage. These gages are small enough to fit in my tool bag without compromising the ease and efficiency of my diagnosis bag. Another huge perk is that there is minimal discharge after attaching these. Having these gages also benefit the convenience of having them when you need them because they fit in my primary service bag, a good HVAC/R technician is not going to walk up to a service call with a pair of gages in hand because most of the time its an electrical problem. Im in commercial refrigeration so having them handy in my bag without having to run out to the truck for a pair of gages is hands down great. The cons of these this gage is that there are some tight spaces that its possible they wont fit without giving you a hard time. One complaint that i heard about these is that they dont have a specific refrigerant type and they cant use them, ok lets get real, if that is going to prevent a purchase then i dont understand because it shows the psig amount on the outer part of the gage so you can just use a P/T chart for the specific refrigerant type. Everyone who needs to use this type of gage in HVAC/R must learn how to use a P/T chart anyways. Overall great gage

Good gauge
Used this gauge to install a multi head heat pump mini split. I used it to pressure test the system after all lines and connections were made.. it held 450 psi for over 24 hrs so the gauge did its job without any internal leaking.

Stubby gage
Great gage, not dealing with hoses is nice. Mine is for home use, however I’m certified in refrigerant handling. Nice for a quick pressure check.

Stubby service gauges can be handy...
Sometimes when space is tight or you just want to make a quick pressure check without dragging out your whole manifold gauge set and hoses, a stubby service gauge is just the thing. I ordered two of these to test a set of coils I suspected were leaking and both arrived in excellent condition. The gauge worked well for this purpose and revealed that the evaporator coil was leaking. (The coil was removed from the system and pressurized externally for this test.) I have only one minor complaint: out of the package, one of the gauges wasn't reading zero. It's the work of just a moment to pop off the plastic crystal and adjust this with a small bladed screwdriver, should it happen to your gauge. Perhaps the one gauge just sped by a bit too fast on the factory line and didn't get checked carefully enough. Still, I think this should have been caught before the gauge was packaged up and sent on its way, with the consideration that mine is a sample size of only two units.

Must have for mini split
Installing a mini split, you need a good gauge to verify the system is not leaking.
