If you have a big head (7 1/2 or larger) this will not fit you. I bought 12 different boonie hats off Amazon because they all say "one size fits all", but if you are like me and have a big head, you know this isn't true. The best two hats for people with big heads are the Einskey boonie and the Dorfman Pacific Boonie. Both have a soft sweet band inside, and the Dorfman Pacific is the only boonie I found on Amazon that lets you choose a actual size. The XL is what I got and its a little loose, especially if you were going to be out on a boat with wind, but it has the bunge cord thing in the back to where you can snug it up some. Overall the Dorfman Pacific is clearly the higher quality between it and the Einskey boonie, but its also double the price. Personally I am not sure its worth double. I think the Einskey is a better value overall for the lower price. I will say the brim of the Einskey is bigger, so that may influence your decision as well. So again, if you have a big head, stick to those two brands.

It is a great beach hat. I would give it an overall 5 star rating except the 2 snaps on the sides are not true brass and they started to corrode after day 2 and stain. Not the sellers or shippers faught. It is worth the $. I would buy it again for the price.
