Works Like a Charm!
My hair has been in 'intensive care' for the past 6 weeks. Backstory- had been using a new hair dye colorant that completely dried my hair out. As a result, locks were dry, damaged, frizzy and looked-and felt- like an unfortunate bird's nest LOL. Since I've never had any hair issues before, you can imagine my dismay. Desperate I searched solutions and repaired my hair with 1) Olly hair vitamins for lustrous hair; 2) weekly deep conditioning using a heat cap with Olaplex hair protector; and 3) Olaplex No 5 shampoo and conditioner. Results after a month- healthy hair with no breakage (come to think of it, after I write this, I'm going to give Olaplex a shout out). So, you can see I'm very cautious and careful with my newly restored locks. Long story short, I bought this flat iron based on reviews and y'all did not let me down!! It outperformed any of my previous ones, including Chi.My hair is wavy, (biracial) prone to frizz in humidity, and mid shoulder length. I used it at 450 degrees, because my hair loves heat. Two swipes each sectioned area. Hair is soft and shiny. It's humid now, so the real test will be how it will hold up after 48 hours as claimed by the manufacturer. However, I'm awarding 5 stars now for ease of use, fast heating time, and great results not to mentioned reasonably priced.

Almost magical results!
Holy moly, this completely lives up to the hype! Highly recommended!I am astounded at how beautifully this little flatiron straightened my fine, wavy, frizzy shoulder-length hair.I'd been struggling with the fact that, using only a hairdryer, I could get my hair straight...but it would get static-ky and frizzy before I even left the house. But, after running the Remington over my hair (a VERY quick and easy process -- it's a pleasure to use!), my hair remained silky, shiny and frizz-free all day, even on a day of torrential rain and high humidity. This is an outstanding flatiron, at a stellar price, and I can't recommend it highly enough. Enjoy!

Have used this thing for 4 years
I’ve had multiple straighteners before this that people had raved about and was never super impressed, and I could never bring myself to spend a ton of money on the Babyliss that I always wanted. Well, in 2017 I went to a bachelorette party for the weekend and one of the girls had this straightener. I am notorious for helping other girls with their hair/makeup as I do it part time on the side for some extra cash. So some of the girls were asking me to straighten their hair (two of them with EXTREMELY CURLY natural hair) so we set up a place in the bathroom and I straightened a ton of girls’ hair. THIS WAS THE BEST STRAIGHTENER I HAD EVER USED!! Even BOTH of the curly hair girls looked at their hair after I did it and said “What kind of hair straightener is that????” Well, apparently it was this one! I added this to my wishlist and my boss bought it for me for my birthday that year (2017) and it’s 2021 and it is still going strong. Shiny, straight hair every time and it glides SO SMOOTHLY down the hair! I love love love it.

Good but not great!
I just got this Remington flat iron in the mail today! I will try to give this product a proper review, as I have only used it once. So, a little background on me first, I have long, damaged, wavy, mane-like, thin hair. I find that my hair will often gross up or get staticky when I straighten it. This doesn't not happen to me EVERY TIME but it does happen sometimes, for whatever reason. I have owned several different flat irons in the past including:•Chi ceramic flat iron•Conair Ultra Slim ceramic hair straightener•Remington Wet 2 Straight•Revlon RV059C•Hai Convertible Ceramic flat iron (my last one that I LOVED)(Pictures are included for your reference)The Remington Anti-Frizz Therapy flat iron comes with a 60 day money back guarantee and a four year limited warranty. It came in the manufacturers box with a discount offer for a hair removal product and the user manual. The actual straightener is 10 inches long, while the plates are only about 4 inches long. To turn it on, you hold the power button for a second or two. You can adjust the heat settings by pressing the + or - buttons. I used my phones stopwatch to calculate how long it would take for the flat iron to reach 340 degrees. It took about 48 seconds to heat up (I have supplied a picture of the timer, so you can see). There is a turbo mode, if you want it to reach the maximum heat setting quickly. There is also a lock mode, this will prevent you from accidentally changing the temperature while you are styling your hair. There is also a hinge lock, if you want to keep your flat iron closed when not in use.The lowest heat setting is 300 degreesThe highest heat setting is 450 degreesThere is a one hour automatic shut off for safety, as well. This flat iron was very comfortable to use. The swivel cord moves very effortlessly and quietly. The plates close together perfectly (image included) and it's not very heavy. After a few minutes, I turned the heat up to 370 degrees and it took a matter of seconds. While the iron was heating up, I could smell, what I imagine to be, the conditioners on the plates. During the time I straightened my hair, the plates actually pulled my hair a bit (I was worried about this) and my hair still became staticky and frizzy. All I had to do to fix this was to clamp my fingers around my hair (like you would the iron) and run my hand down. Besides these two problems, I really like this flat iron. I curled the ends of my hair more easily than my last flat iron and I noticed my hair looked a lot healthier than before (before and after pictures are supplied). My hair did not seem more oily or weighed down after I used this product.I have not tried CURLING my hair with this yet but I imagine it would be very easy! I curled the ends of my hair in one swipe. This product is pretty good for its price but there are some flaws. If you are looking for a good flat iron and have a little extra to spend, I would go for the more expensive kind. After having several cheap and expensive flat irons, I can honestly say: in the end, you get what you pay for.

Great for people with frizzy or damaged hair!
I love this flat iron!!! I had one for a few years and lost it and just couldn't remember the brand of this one. I bought 3 different expensive ones until I finally saw a photo of this one and recognized it! It's so affordable and great quality! I have sort of fine, curly hair. It works perfectly on my hair and is the only flat iron I have found outside of salon quality that does not make my hair frizzy or damage it. It never snags my hair as I pull it through and it makes my hair soft, shiny and healthy looking. I keep it on the lowest setting and it works perfectly. I love it!!!
