Neoprene case, light weight, roomy, protective interior. Exterior zipper handy for other small item storage. I got these for storing external portable CD drives during travel and everyday commute to work. Fits in a backpack, larger purse, or rollerbag.

This case perfectly holds my external DVD player! My laptop came without a DVD player, which I didn’t mind as I don’t use a DVD player every day or even very often, so I don’t mind having a plug and play external DVD player for the occasional need! It actually makes the laptop lighter and it was much cheaper without the built in drive! The plug and play DVD player I also bought from Amazon fits perfectly and safely in this case! Both professionally made and designed! I highly recommend! I haven’t had any issues with the zipper- quality appears to be great and it’s extremely easy to use and durability appears to be excellent!

Hard to rate this because almost all the tech cases have either neoprene, EVA, or PVC in them. For a neoprene product, I'd give it a 5. I remove 1 star for the smell cuz I don't want to penalize them for something that almost all the products have. I wanted to keep this but decided I was afraid of the toxicity due to the smell. After 4 purchases on Amazon of various cases and all of them smelled, I've decided to avoid products with these materials. Neoprene is not toxic but is combined with chemicals that are. EVA is also non-toxic but the EVA products I've bought smell bad. PVC is definitely toxic. That said, if you don't mind the material or the smell - which isn't as bad as some products - this is a well constructed, otherwise quality product. Size is perfect for Apple Magic Trackpad 3. It's good if you want the slimness of a sleeve but want a little structure for protection. Zippers seem to be of good quality. I looked at their canvas version of this but that is lined with neoprene so I decided against it. I hope some of these brands would consider rubber or silicone or some other innovative material. For my trackpad, I decided to use an old Eagle Creek (iPad Mini) tablet case even though it's bigger than needed. Soft pouch makes if fit in laptop case in a slender fashion. Zipper external pouch keeps connection cords in place.

No longer shall I fear damaging my external DVD drive when traveling, for this case provides more than adequate protection! The pouch on the front also provides easy storage for a handful of flash drives so it's truly the greatest means of containing portable storage medium! Now I can watch movies on my laptop while on break at work and when break is over I can safely put my DVD drive in my bag instead of fearing it being damaged! All jokes aside, it's a good case, if you need one this one will work, I did put my usb dvd drive on it, put it in my bag, and jostled it around a bit to see if it worked or not and, yup, dvd drive works fine still. I doubt this case would protect from something ridiculous like doing the whole thing down a flight of granite stairs or running over it with a car, but if you're doing that sort of stuff you better be doing it for a video 'cause there's not really any other reason to have a dvd drive out in a situation where that can happen. Put your drive in the case, put the case in your bag, and be on your way, it's fine.

Gut verarbeitet und gepolstert, das Laufwerk passt super hinein und es herrscht Ordnung. Das Laufwerk bleibt sauber und beim Transport kanns ruhig mal bischen rauher werden die Polsterung schützt sehr gut sogar vor Abstürzen aus 1m.
