This is the perfect safety flag to have for transporting your kayak. I've used it twice so far even on the highway driving 75 mph and it is made very sturdy and strong.

Received tow flag quicker than expected. Flag is well-made. I’ve already installed it on my kayak and we are ready to hit the road.

I use this for my kayak. I ordered a different rectangle one at first, but the Amazon driver Frisbeed that crap on my front porch in 30MPH winds. By the time I got home, the light weight flag was gone. This is true, but all seriousness aside, I’m glad that happened. I got a refund. Upon further research, in the semi-fine state of Virginia, the old one would have been illegal. At least a 12x12” safety flag is required for loads extending at least 4ft from the truck bed. PLEASE RESEARCH YOUR STATE LAW UNLIKE I DID. I think that is stupid (IMO) but I’m military, and move from state to state. At least I know this kayak flag will at least be legal in all states. So thank you Amazon for giving me more time to research..? I’m trying to be funny/realistic in my review, but here is what I don’t like. The nylon strap is sewed to the flag with two perpendicular crosses (see pics). I don’t drive more than 30 min at 55mph max, but I could see this being a long term issue in durability. This is just speculation, because so far it is holding up well. I have an old town sportsman 120 pdl kayak. I do a simple loop through/ overhand knot in the rudder handle. There’s a decent amount of slack in the flag making it flap in the wind. This worries me due to the small amount of stitching in the nylon loop. But like i said, it hasn’t failed yet. You could loop it through twice if you want to take up extra slack. To get to the point, none of my automotive stores had a safety flag available. Obviously this made Amazon an easy choice. THIS IS BETTER THAN TYING A RED SHOP RAG TO THE BACK OF YOUR KAYAK!!! Just trust me spend the $10 and fry this. It’s so much easier

Love how big and easy it is to use

I was expecting just a regular red flag but it being yakattack brand they even put quality in a small but important product! Made of thick vinyl and prominent color of dark red. The kind of quality you would expect from yakattack!

I haul my fishing kayak in the bed of my truck so it sticks out about 2’ off the tailgate. This is a perfect easy on and easy off flag to warn drivers behind me. I can’t review the durability or sturdiness of the product yet as I have only had it for a month, but so far it’s holding up great. Will review again later after a year.
