ProsourceFit Extra Thick Yoga and Pilates Mats 0.5 & 1-in

This mat is thick, supportive, doesn't bottom out, yet still offers a good amount of squish/cushion. Great so far for the exercises I'm doing on hardwood floors. Feels durable and like it'll be a good value for what I paid, but I'll re-review if that turns out not to be the case. The straps are eeehhhh, but that's fine, I would much rather them cheap out on the strap a little than the mat itself. Very satisfied so far.

Love this mat! It’s thick enough that I can’t feel my bones pressing into the floor which allows me more movement for exercise.

This was a Renewed or whatever they call it/blem/damaged box, and I expect the reason it was returned is that the mat has a strong plasticky smell. But other than that the mat is nice and comfy and so I won't have to use knee pads to do yoga

I'm 6'3-6'4 depending on the time of day, I weigh *just* under 400lbs thanks to a decade of sedentary work followed by six months of better eating and exercise. Now that I've hit a point where I can be on a stationary bike for like, 30-40 minutes without getting gassed and I'm getting up to about 5 minutes on an elliptical at a time, I've been looking at ways to do other low-impact exercise and increase my ability to recover after lifting. I've been really digging the hip adductor/abductor machines, but they make my leg muscles suuuper tight and my flexibility already wasn't great. So, stretches! Problem? Yoga mats are for small, skinny people. I'm big, my butt don't fit on the mat right. I'm heavy, the little thin mats might as well not exist when I kneel on them, under my weight the matt compresses so much it's literally just like kneeling directly on the hard ground and, again, I'm heavy so that hurts. Solution! An INCH-THICK squishy mat that's slightly wider than all the ones at the gym so my big butt fits on it and at no point do I ever feel my bones on the ground. I will say, it's actually so thick I can't "securely" stand on it, my feet are always moving around because it's so springy. I might need to pick up the 1/2" version as well so that I have one I can hold standing positions longer without wiggling around. But! For doing the big ground stretches, trying to do sort of "splits" to increase mobility, this is perfect, because my bad knees never get tired or hurt and I can just DO all my long floor stretches now even though I'm tall and big and heavy and stiff.

This is a great mat simply because it’s extra soft just what I needed

It's thick, it's spongey, might get a bit slippery from sweat, but it's exactly what I was looking for; I use it for post run stretches and it's really satisfying having that much sponge to take the edge off the hard floor. It does seem like it'll get easily damaged, but if you're using it in a studio, it'll be great, although people might think you're bringing a camping mattress with you.

The item is superb for yoga and floor exercises at home or gym. Very firm yet soft on the knees elbows and back. Comes with two retainers with carrying handle and elastic bands. Would have given seven stars if option was there. This is another gem of an item that came from Amazon Warehouse with great value for money. The item was fully packed without any signs of damage. Thanks to amazon warehouse for such fantastic deals.

Love it. The mat protects your joints from the pressure of exercising. Will buy again.

I was looking at a much more expensive mat that was advertised as being an inch thick but the reviews said it wasn’t so I didn’t order it. Then I doing this one which is less than half the price and thought there must be a catch, but it’s perfect and I’d have happily paid more.

As described, very good. (One small thing, the "elastic band" that are suppost to go around the mat, for carrying, are to narrow.)
