Happy with the latches
Perfect for my cabinet.

Will replace broken latches and look like high quality finish. Some adjustments needed.
The latches are shipped well packaged but not in a padded box, so check carefully for crush damage from the transportation. The product is lower cost than factory parts, and feels like it may not last for long under heavy use or rough stress. Be prepared with cabinetry woodworking tools before you start. Our cabinets were 20 years old, and the worn out latches were installed with a hole size slightly smaller than the chrome decoration ring provided with these latches. Every cabinet door had to be drilled with a one inch spade bit to be slightly larger than one inch in diameter. This is probably due to a slight difference in inches to metric conversion and the use of a worn or old tool at the factory that built the cabinets 20 years ago. We also found that the existing original metal tabs could be kept in most cases, but some of the latches and doors were installed with insufficient engagement to keep the doors and drawers securely closed. The new latches are slightly different, so the locked position of the sliding lock was too far from the metal tabs. We had to install shims under some tabs to make the new lock engage the metal tabs properly. We were not able to use the very small short metal tabs that were provided, because the original latches were installed with much better and much larger tabs that included wide base area with slots to allow fine adjustment. Another discovery was that the door and drawer closed position must be adjusted by moving the metal tabs on the fixed part so that there is at least two millimeters or a sixteenth of an inch free play when the latch is locked. This is extremely important to set before you close and lock a new latch into an old door. If the lock is engaged and the door is tight against the frame, the lock cannot be released due to friction. You then must use high force to press in on the door, bending it inward while pressing the button to release the lock. I don't think any of our observations are a result of design or quality problems with this product. It is common to find these issues with retrofit of new parts on old construction from decades in the past. We did buy a generous supply of extra latches to keep for future use in case any of the new latches break in the future. It is a good way to make sure that a replacement part you install years from now will be an exact match to the others.

They'll do the job...BUT
These door catches will do the job, but they're plastic and on the cheap side. With extended use, I'll have to replace them and when I do, I'll invest in some beefier ones. They feel loose after being mounted and they don't always engage on the first push/pull, which is frustrating, but as I said, they'll doo the job for now.

Plastic, flimsy, worthless junk
Do not buy these. They are made of cheap plastic. They are flimsy and they absolutely failed after 2 months. Used for a van conversion and switched to slam latches which work great. This product made me have doubts about the authenticity of Amz’s 5 star reviews.

Cheaper alternative for van conversion cabinets
Bought this gold push buttons for our van conversion. For the most part, it was easy to install despite some minor hiccups. I would've preferred a different colored gold knobs but this was all we could find that was affordable. The knobs are a "polished gold color"
