Great for canker sores, among other uses
I ordered these to try out the theory that canker sores can be treated with alum powder. I expected the product itself to be a finer powder, as this product is more like alum granules than it is powder. Still, they're small enough to be applied directly to a canker sore. I was trying to treat one that I had had for about 4 days - after applying a little bit of alum on it, it felt like a burning sensation in my mouth at first, and then I just let it sit there for about two minutes. I then rinsed my mouth thoroughly, and the whole area felt super dry for about an hour or so afterwards. The next day, no more agitation at all! I could eat in peace. The sore is still is still visible in my mouth, but it doesn't bother me at all. This stuff works -- definitely try it out if the usual over-the-counter solutions aren't doing it for you!
