"Oh, Mama", I said to my wife, "You don't want THOSE lights!" But she did. Not the ultra-modern, slick lights I wanted. Well, Mama does get what she wants sometimes . . . so I ordered them, installed them, and . . . love them! Super-easy installation, simple solar technology which eliminated the need for wiring. And . . . what Mama said turned out to be right: "They will cast the most beautiful shadows!" (I wish we had more posts to mount them on!) We love 'em. You will, too! (Update - over a year out in the weather, and they still light up without a hitch!)

Very easy to install. Still works after one year, I bought 16 of them and not single one had a flaw after a year. Lasted through winter, cold, snow, rain. Beautiful design. Great product for a price!

1 Year Update: I experienced some issues with the units this spring. 1 failed, 1 remains on even during the day, and the photocell on all 4 units became fogged. Attempted to clean, but just reappeared. Contacted Siedinlar and they quickly replaced all 4 units. Customer service is excellent.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Purchased 4 of these solar post lights to illuminate my deck. Selected this manufacturer based on the light housing being metal construction. Product shipped on time and arrived well packaged. Assembly and instillation instructions were well written and easy to understand. Overall, I like the product, and would have given them a 5 star rating except that the light deflectors project the light outward, not downward. This results in the surrounding area of the deck being illuminated, not the deck surface itself. Pleasant lighting, just not as functional as I had hoped. Longevity of the solar collector and LED bulb have yet to be determined.

I bought 8 of the solar lights and they are easy to install. A few months after I purchased them two of the solar lights came cloudy and one of the metal part paint began to peel and rust. I called the company and they responded within hours and had two new lights sent to me within a day. I am going to purchase more of these lights because not only are they very pretty, the company is awesome to stand behind their product. Thank you so much.

These lights replaced some solar lights I purchased in the past. The others, while attractive, were made of plastic. Nice looking, but they weren't able to stand up to the summer sun. The tops warped and the lights looked pretty unattractive. So I purchased these lights. They have a metal body and a nice decorative body. They look nice during the day and at night when they're operating. I bought them for the ambiance, not for bright light. They met my needs and I feel confident that they won't go the way of the previous lights. They were also a good buy. So they work fine, look great, and a good buy.

I noticed on the wknd a couple of times when i came home around 2am and they activated around 7-8pm (we live in the south and it was summer when installed.They sit in direct sunlight to charge…In comparison I guess 7 hrs of light is good for solar lights but my neighbor’s solar lights (they can be fickle) last all night (I don’t know the brand)They’re beautiful; however i would prefer they lasted a tiny bit longer.

I put them on the low posts around my fire pit patio. I didn't use the reflectors, because they were too bright, but the gentle glow at night is warm and cozy. I love looking out the window before I go to bed and seeing them. The batteries have lasted almost 3 seasons as well. I do bring them in for the winter.

Had high hopes for these being more durable than some of the plastic ones but the metal is not weatherproof. We live in San Diego so it's a pretty dry environment and they still rusted and faded badly in less than 2 years. The solar/light portion works OK but it is not very bright - seems to be a single LED and, with no light diffuser the light just shines down onto the gold pain internally resulting in very little light being cast. I suggest paying more and getting a better product. After 2 years these are going in the garbage and will be replaced by another product.

Honestly they are brighter than expected considering it's a tiny LED light being reflected off a silver plate. They look awesome, just wish there was a thin plastic lining covering the inside to seal it off from the elements and criters. Longevity-wise, I have no idea. Others have said ~2yrs before they crap out and I believe it. Theres no protection for the solar light on top so I can see it getting worn out pretty easily over time. The screws they come with are useless, just go buy some 1" deck board screws. There's overhang from the base around all sides with 5x5 posts, so you'll have to take care with placement. I assume they'll fit snug on 6x6s. Unpackaging 16+ sucked, but no easy way around that. Overall I'm happy. Curious to see how long they last.

I like that there isn’t any plastic to turn yellow and cloudy. They still look great and I leave them out all year. And they sit under a lot of snow some months! Give off a nice yellow glow not too bright but bright enough so I won’t fall down the stairs. Will continue to buy these lights.

So they are not super bright, but they are enough that I can see where my step is in the dark. The metal is lightweight so I am a little afraid it will get bent up over time but for now they were installed and working before the trick-or-treating began and they are pretty.
