VehoVCC-A010-WPC MUVI HD Waterproof Case for Muvi hd, muvi hd10+, muvi hd7+, muvi hd pro, muvi Gumball

I bought this waterproof case at the same time I bought the MUVI HD10 Camera and I am glad I did. Although I have not used it in the water yet, I used it to mount the camera on the outside of my car for shooting driving videos. It works for rainy days or just to protect the camera from road dust and debris. The camera fits very well in the case and it easy to put in and take out.

The case works very well with protection against water however you cannot see what your recording when in the case. This makes it very difficult to record while getting wet because you have to open the case to see the screen or even to check if the video is rolling.

This is a great product for my watersports... I do a lot of rafting and this case is great.... You dont have to have the black plastic pieces on so you can actually watch where your pointing while the camera is in the case... the remote works great while it's in the case also.. and it has tripod mount in the bottom of the case as well as a place to mount a leash in case the tripod where to break loose or fail. I sank the case in water for about a half hour without a drop of water in it....

First, I didn't buy it for underwater use. I bought it to protect the camera against accidental drops onto the boat or in the water. The problem is the case greatly attenuates the already low sound pickup of the camera. So, I drilled a 1/8" hole in the case over the mic. This allows the sound to get in and much improves the sound pickup. (The case is very difficult to drill. If you try, use a small, 1/16" drill, first; and then enlarge the hole to 1/8" or 3/16". I think I enlarged to 1/8".)To be fair, the case is well constructed and provides ruggedness and splash protection at a bargain price.

Defected

I am a kitesurfer, Stand up Paddler, Surfer and Longboarder. 3 our of 4 sports are on water so Waterproof is a must.The Muvi HD seemed like a good choice, nice quality and features plus a perfect range of mounting accesories for all my sports. Unfortunately, the most important, the waterproof case, leaked right out of the box.I wanted to test the whole set before going live with the camera, so I didnt put it in. It took less than a minute on my paddle board to get the case 1/4 filled with water. I was so relief I didnt have the camera in it. The tripod and base resisted very well the 2 hour session.Looking for the leak, I noticed that the protective glass on top of the lens wasnt glued down properly to the plastic case, it popped right off with no effort.Hopefully it is just a bad batch, I'm waiting to hear from the vendor about it.On dry land, the camera is still amazing and the mounting options almost unlimited.Good luck.

I have a Honda Fury motorcycle that I love to ride in all weather. With this handy clear plastic case, I am able to put my Muvi camera in its' protective housing and snap it closed, and bingo, off I go videoing my ride.It comes with many options to attach to you or something else. You won't go wrong with this item.

While diving, the big clip kept it secure to my suit and my Muvi stayed dry, but it was difficult to see whether it was recording or paused through the clear case. I had to start recording on the boat and before closing the case to make sure.
