Alpha Industries Women's MA-1 Flight Jacket

I live in So Cal, and this jacket is the perfect mid-weight jacket. I bought the maroon color which looks great! I wear nice knit tops to work with jeans and loafers, and this jacket works with what I'm wearing. But I also feel that I can dress it down with a T-shirt and sneakers, so it's very utilitarian.I was a bit concerned with selecting the size since I have a curvy athletic shape. Most of the reviews mentioned to size down. Because of my chest (38D), I usually wear a large in shirts, and sometimes medium. I decided to go true to size and bought a large, and the fit was perfect! I'm 5'3"/150- and the length was perfect with it falling right to the top of my hips- not too short and not too long!The jacket is not as bulky as I was led to believe. Also, keep in mind that this listing is for the women's fit (as noted with a W in the product name), so I don't believe there's a need to size down unless you're getting the standard men's version. If you're blessed in the chest and buying the women's version, definitely stay true to size unless you want them squished when you zip up the jacket. Much smaller chests may be able to size down if one wants that fitted look and also doesn't plan on zipping up the jacket.And for the tag, I saw that another reviewer also ordered the maroon-colored and had a spotted flight tag. Mine came with a standard red flight tag like I've seen on all the other jackets.

I'm honestly so glad I just bought the original jacket, and didn't try to go for a cheaper look-alike, since there are so many options for that. This is just a really beautiful well made jacket. I'm glad I sized down, to a small since it fits perfectly. It's still roomy, but it doesn't look overly bulky on me as a medium definitely wood. I can still comfortably wear a sweater underweath, and move my arms and shoulders. The fabric itself was also something that really impressed me, it's very smooth and soft to the touch, with a really beautiful sheen to it, that I don't see in knock off versions of this jacket. It just is really worth it in my opinion? Like it's pricey, but I don't feel any buyers regret.

I don’t usually write reviews but this jacket most definitely deserves one. I loved the look of it but wasn’t sure what size to get since other reviews said it was either too large or small. I finally decided to go with a medium and it fit perfectly. For reference, I’m 5’9” and weigh 145 lbs. This jacket is beautiful and I can tell it will keep me warm but is also light weight at the same time. Can’t wait to show it off. Definitely recommend!

I bought the same brand/style and gave as a Christmas present to my son last year. He absolutely loved it. This time, I purchased it to give to my daughter as a Christmas present. I am happy with the quality, considering it's $190. However, it came in a plastic Amazon bag. I would've preferred it boxed with their company logo. That would have been more appropriate, to match the cost and the purpose of this purchase. Otherwise, I would have given them a 5-star review. Would still recommend.

I love the jacket, but had to size up from my regular small. I'm 5'9", 34B, very slender on top, but it was restrictive in the chest/back area. My 5'3" 115lb friend tried it on and said it even felt a little restrictive on her. The medium is perfect, and even leaves a little room for a good hoodie underneath.

I love alpha industries coats, always super insulated and warm and durable as well. Worth the price!

I am on my fifth Alpha Industries MA-1 Jacket. Got this for my wife for when we go out on a date or bike riding. Be mindful of the size, though. I am a medium, but I get a large size for comfort and for being able to wear it over some extra clothing during winter. My wife is a size 2 which entitles her to a size XS jacket. That been said and based on previous experience, I got her the S size looking forward to the same results, and so it happened. The S size fits loose enough not to be tight and leaving room for extra. Perfect fit. Recommend.

It is really nice jacket and i am regular size US 4 but it was bit tight in shoulders so had to return in :(I did not order bigger size as i am worried that would be too big for me.

The original bomber! Can't go wrong with this product. However I had to order it twice due to the fact that sizing is a bit off. I am usually a size small or medium. Went with the medium originally and the arms were really short on me. For reference I am 5'8 with athletic build so I assumed it was due to the fact that I have more broad shoulders. When the size L came it fit better but I did notice this jacket just doesn't come with super long sleeves. So if you are taller/more athletic or want to be able to fit a thick hoodie underneath I suggest you size up!

Ce n'est pas le premier bomber que j'achète de cette marque et comme toujours je ne suis pas déçu. De très bonne qualité et assez chaud pour être porté durant le printemps l'automne et même certaines journées d'hiver (-10) avec un chandail chaud en dessous. Un peu dispendieux c'est vrai mais une valeur sûre!

Great quality and is exactly as described. I ordered a small and it fits me perfectly with enough room for a hoodie underneath.
