Cruzer vs Bosch axial, issues with arm flex , space saver , great for diyer or semi professional!
I have Had zero issues with this saw after about 3 weeks of continuous use ! Upgraded to a diablo blade with great results , motor is powerful and makes cutting a breeze , led light is phenomenal (except in direct sunlight ) , robot arms are super smooth! , accuracy was a big upgrade compared to the other miter saws I have used . What I’m using it for : Making small pieces of furniture . Some have complained about the saw being inaccurate or having too much play in the arms but I only see that being an issue if you’re cross cutting more than 6” wide . Additionally , yes there is some slight play in the arm. Is it a lot ? No , not really . Is there a way to avoid having the unit flex ? From my experience, yes , make sure when you’re cutting, to cut slow , also , pull the arm down perpendicular to the wood you are cutting and try not to pull at a diagonal this will help you avoid and play in the arm . By using that technique I have almost perfect results every time Is this saw for you ? -If you’re a diyer or a grade above , then this saw is perfect !! -If you’re a framer , then I dont See why it wouldn’t work ! -Finish carpentry ? Unsure about that one It’s a big upgrade and space saver compared to something like ryobi , rigid or even dewalt . Price is cheaper than the bosch axial glide which i have done extensive research on before pulling the trigger on this one. From my research , both are almost the same but the price point on this one was what really sold me ! All in all , a fantastic saw , great space saver , fairly accurate , good price point

Well worth the investment
Amazing saw. Glides so smoooth. The shadow line is a feature that works so well to tell you where your cut is going. Cuts square right out of the box. Most of my cuts are just square, but this adjusts easily enough.

Awesome saw - except the dust collection
I am a fan of this saw. First, the compact-ness. We have a relatively small space for a saw (previously occupied by a single bevel 10” miter saw), and it fits with the same clearances. I was able to cut a 17.5” wide shelf with no issue - just needs a 2 by lumber to elevate as the manual states. Mine arrived square, and had the LED shadow line equipped. Slide is super smooth. Slide lock is very easy. Down stroke is different than I’m used to - has a “soft” stop it feels like. Also “sounds” different, I think because it’s driven by a belt vs direct. My only issue is the dust collection/bag. The overall design doesn’t lend to a “direct” line of sight to the dust port, so the dust usually hits the little deflector shield and bounces back. Using a vacuum helps very little. I think the intent was that the circular motion of the saw would “push” the dust up into the bag, but it doesn’t really. But for me, the pros outweigh this con. I’m glad I can cut wider than 6” without needing to use a track saw or table saw. Hello wide square corners! Pictures show relative clearances for anyone else needing to snug this into a tight space. Amazon also had the best price.

Amazing Saw, Don't even think about buying anything else
I researched just about every compound miter saw I could find and wow, did I find a perfect fit! I have used a 30 year old Makita and just wore it out, so it was time to find something else. I have used Dewalt, Bosch, Hitachi and Milwaukee, which are all good products. I went to all the big box stores touching and working every brand. The only one they didn't have in stock was the Delta Cruzer. I called a friend of mine who is master finish carpenter, and his work is wonderful. Guess what, he just bought the 12" Delta 2nd generation. He gave me a tour of this saw and I was sold in about 2 minutes. He told me this saw was flat out the best he has ever used. Well I bought the 10" version 2nd generation and couldn't be happier. I tore out all the crappy 3 1/2 base boards in my house and bought 5 1/4 MDF from Home Depot. I have half the house done and this saw is amazing! I have cut 90's, 22.5 and 45's. It has so many great features it would take me hours to go over, by far my favorite is the shadow guide line. It's an LED light which shines on the blade creating a perfect line on your boards, very accurate. This saw makes my work look good and the wife is showing the neighbors, I feel another project coming up, oh no! For me, this is the best miter saw I have ever used. For the price and features you are crazy not to buy this machine. Mine came right out of the box calibrated right down to the nats ass. (Perfect). I believe you will love this miter saw! It's an American product to boot...

Excellent purchase
This is a great product and the Customer Service (CS) provided by Delta is superior. I initially received a damaged product. I called Delta CS and when I described the issue they knew exactly what was wrong, recognized it could not be easily (if at all) corrected, sent me a replacement immediately. I value CS as highly as product quality and Delta came through with shining colors. The saw itself is excellent. Spot on for angles out of the box and after adding a fine cut blade the quality of cut is also excellent (original was better than I've seen on on other brands, but since I use this for woodworking not carpentry, I really need a best quality blade). The length of cut is amazing. I've cut 1x12 boards with out doing anything extra to accommodate the width. The articulating mechanism is vastly superior to the sliding tube saws I've seen and used. The shadow cut line indicator is quite useful as well; it takes a couple of cuts to get used to where the saw blade lands on the line but once you have it down it is at least as accurate as a laser. I easily leave half of a sharp pencil mark when making a cut. I'd buy it again in a heartbeat and highly recommend it. Nice price compared to other saws as well.

Fantastic miter saw!
I had to buy this as a replacement for my dewalt 12" miter saw that was stolen, and let me tell you, I am in love with this thing. Combine this with the folding stand and it is the perfect combo! The action is smooth, every piece feels like high quality and it cuts through wood like butter. It uses a shadow guide instead of a laser which I actually prefer because I can tell exactly where the blade will cut. The fact that it is more compact is great, I can put it against a wall and I dont have to worry about the slide mechanism being in the way. Only downside I can come up with is the dust catcher, but I've had the same problem with every saw I've used, unless you have a vacuum system, they just dont do much.

Like this Miter saw a lot.
Got this to put closer to a wall than other styles. Really well made and accurate. Had a hard time replacing blades at first because manual didn't mention anything. So I always did it the hard way thinking what's wrong with Delta and their design. Then after looking at 2 Torx screws that said "loosen",(That should have been more correctly labelled "Blade Removal") a light when on. After taking those 2 screws completely out, not just loosening, I could remove the blade guard assembly off completely. Making it super easy to change blades. Just needed more coffee, that's all!
