Haven't we been here before?
The first half of this book steals heavily from "If Tomorrow Comes"--a naive girl gets set up for a crime, is represented by a dishonest lawyer and gets sent to jail, gets beaten up by someone that will later befriend her, plans an escape, but makes that one enemy in jail who tries to foil her escape attempt. Another similar plot that follows through the second half of the book is the mentally unstable and obsessed investigator. At least the second half of the book diverges from the storyline of "If Tomorrow Comes." However, there are a lot of unnecessary tangents. The entire obsessed investigator storyline was unneeded and just seemed thrown in. The chemical abortion was a really stupid decision by a women that we are supposed to believe was coming into her own. However, all that being said, I did read it rather quickly. It does roll along, even with the plot diversions.

Sidney Sheldon's After the Darkness
I'm very familiar with Mr. Sheldon's work, I've been reading his books since I was a teenager. I don't remember reading Ms. Bagshawe's work before. I miss say it didn't disappoint. A true page turner, I started the book two days ago and finished this evening. I always like when the author allows us to go to different countries we might never be exposed to. The main character Grace started as a weak woman but emerged as a warrior. This book was fantastic and I would recommend it to whomever looking for a good read.Yvonne A. Wilson-Robinson

Awesome story!
This has to be one of my favorite reads. Could not put down, read the entire day away and enjoyed every moment of it! Have read several of Tilley Bagshawe’s books and enjoyed them all, but this one was (so far) my favorite! Keep writing, Tilly!

Satisfying
Sidney Sheldon was a phenomenal writer and I have read all of his books, this young lady is riding on his coattails to get people to purchase her work. That Is clearly shown. I was still very much interested in this book as well as one other book she did under his namesake. "Mistress of the Game, I really enjoyed the story line in each book and the characters were very believable. I think that if this works for her then so be it! It's all entertainment.

What A Surprise
Glad this book ended the way it did. enjoyed reading Sidney Sheldon. I never felt that certain characters were what they appeared to be..especially John. I didn't like the killing of the homeless person. overall a good read. Glad "G" came out on top.
