Great primer
I ordered this primer for a nice fine grey color for customizing a couple of wing gundam zero model kits, the seller shipped me white instead of grey but that's fine. I purchased and used this product a while back to paint an rg wing gundam ew kit and it's absolutely perfect for grey color separation. I'll gladly keep the white primer since I needed that as an actual primer but I'm definitely ordering the GREY again to paint an MG wing gundam zero ver ka that I'm planning for a spring/ summer project. This is definitely the best paint/primer I've ever used. The grey this is advertised as is in my photo on my rg wing gundam as all the lightest grey parts, the darker grey is light ghost grey.

Works great, very fine mist
Fantastic application - dries quickly though I do recommend waiting a day before painting over it, just to be on the safe side (at least a few hours) - hard to do when you're excited to paint! It doesn't gum up the tiny details as long as you're careful.

The best I have used
The Tamaya gray surface primer is the best I have ever used. Ever. No drips, no overspray, no runs, works beautifully in 50 degree temp, here in Maine. I waited until about 4:30 p.m. for the windy day to calm down, got my little setup ready (open-top cardboard box approx. 12x16", set on its side on a stand in backyard . Followed the directions for priming my 1948 Ford coupe. Worked beautifully. On Thursday apparently we are to have a 50-degree day again; I will then paint my little Ford with the shade closest to the color of my original car---sort of Sea Green, trying to do this early enough in afternoon so it can dry and I can achieve 2 coats anyway. If ALL works in my favor I hope to do a 3rd coat let THAT dry and see what I have. The model I REALLY want is a 1948 Super Deluxe Sedan, but no matter where I look, I can't find one. Wanting an exact replica of the Ford I first had when I was 18.Tamiya primer is the only one I ever will want to use. Thank you, thank you!!

Broken cap
Product works nicely but the cap came broken in pieces and just fell off as i unwrapped the packaging. For me it's not bad enough to return it but definitely worth keeping in mind.

Quality primer
I like using the gray primer for my models. Then I use acrylic paints over the primer. The acrylic paints bind to the primer well enough for me to use masking tape as needed.
