Morello Cherry = A M A Z I N G ! ! !
Whoa! This Morello Cherry preserve is flat out AMAZING! I decided to purchase it on a whim. I wanted to try something different and saw it while looking at other brands and flavors. Cherry preserves caught my interest because I have never even imagined a cherry preserve. So I ordered it and really managed my expectations because I am ultra picky when it comes to the consistency, quality and taste of jams, jelly and preserves. It arrived, I cracked it open and spread some on some home-made fried dumplings that my mom made and... in short, I was blown to the next level! Honestly, this is now my absolute favorite preserve. I have since spread it on some lightly toasted (and lightly buttered) croissant and also tried it on a medium toasted chocolate chip brioche. In a word - WOW! It's so, so, so delicious. It is sweet, but not overly so while the taste of cherry is so vivid and the consistency makes for a very smooth and easy spread while maintaining a slightly lumpy character. This stuff is truly, wonderfully delicious!! I've never even heard of Wilkin & Sons before, but rest assured I will now be looking into other flavors they have. I'm pretty sure that the Morello Cherry will remain my favorite though... sooo bloody delicious!!!

Been a fan of this fpr years and would formerly have given it a five star review for the quality and quantity of fruit. However, it may just be my perception has changed, but ot now tastes sweeter to me. Still a very good conserve, and the only morello one readily available to me, but not quite so perfect!
