The array of digestive enzymes is this product is great and quite a lot more than most other enzyme supplements. I am also happy to see the use of natural vegetable based capsules. Unfortunately, I did not notice that maltodextrin is the main additive in the product, in even higher concentrations than the vegetable capsule itself (maltodextrin is listed first). There are no health benefits to maltodextrin- in fact, maltodextrin has even been shown to exacerbate gut health issues. In addition, maltodextrin has the same amount of calories as any other carbohydrate. Overall, will not purchase again due to these unhealthy and unneeded additives.

Gentle formula and not really a smell to it..delivery was quick...follow directions and it seems like it starts working after a week

and if I am not sure....then it probably is not. If you are buying this, then you probably need it to do something because something is not right with your gut...like you have constipation, or gas, or stomach issues....and I have one of these and was looking for something to settle it down and make a difference..this has not seemed to make any difference that I can tell. It may be doing something in the background or it may do something for you...but it has not made any difference for me and my gut chemistry.

This is a good enzyme formula in terms of ingredients. It is high in a variety of different enzymes, and will digest a variety of proteins, carbs, fats, and fibers. It is particularly high in proteases, which is good for someone like me who consumes a lot of protein as I eat a lower-carb diet.The formula is even fairly generous in lipase. A lot of formulas are relatively low in lipase, but since I eat lower-carb, having more lipase is important.My main issue with this formula is that I got the product in July, but it expires in August. That is just too soon for a new product to expire. While enzymes don't necessarily turn worthless or harmless after expiration, this seems like a quality-control issue.
