Real wood edge banding tape is for covering the edges of plywood and other non-wood edges and surfaces that need to be nicely finished. Common uses are for furniture and cabinetry, but edge tape will adhere to nearly any type of surface. All edge tape has a heat-sensitive glue backing and applies quickly with an iron. Our glue is CARB II formaldehyde free adhesive. Our wood is finely sanded to perfection and installs easily by applying heat for a few seconds by any household iron. ** Because our edge banding is made from real wood, from time to time we see some natural inconsistencies. IF YOU ARE NOT HAPPY with your roll because of natural variation that occurs in trees or poorly placed finger joints, PLEASE CONTACT US AND WE WILL SEND YOU A FREE ROLL. **

Would have given more stars except for one major flaw .
This review is for the 2 inch x 50 ft roll, which doesn’t seem to be available anymore. As far as edge banding goes this product is ok except for one major flaw. About every 3 ft or so is a finger joint. An obvious finger joint with a raised surface. Not sure if it can be sanded smooth or not, but unless it’s being stained real dark or puttied and painted it is going to stand out. Lucky I have not needed it for anything over 30 inches.

Great Product
I purchased a roll of this edge banding to finish off a birch plywood cabinet I made for my kid’s room. It came sanded and went on quite easily with our iron. The plywood was 3/4” thick. I bought 13/16” width edge banding and sanded off the excess. It all stained nicely. Some people on this page complain about finger joints and a break in the roll. I think that’s normal because of this roll is 250’ long and the logs aren’t that long. Sure, you can’t use 100% of the roll, but based on the lengths I needed, I navigated around the joints without creating too much scrap.Anyway, this is a good product and worked nicely for me. I would buy again.

Awesome
I normally get edge banding at Home Depot, but thought I’d go with one longer roll of 250’ for a couple home projects I just finished. I made some shelves in my garage for storage and used plywood. I also did some storage shelves in one of my closets and wanted those edges nice and finished as well. This product went on easily. I found that I only needed to run the iron along it for a couple seconds to heat up the glue. I moved on quickly just to make sure I didn’t leave any burn marks. There were finger joints throughout the roll every 6-8’ or so and I worked around those. Overall this was an A+ product...

Great price but some of the joints are sloppy
Overall this edge banding is good, but I would not recommend this for an automatic system. I was able to cut around joints that were poorly aligned in the banding, but if you aren't banding manually, this would not be your best choice.

Seemed like there was a joint about every four feet
The product worked well for my needs and almost matched exactly the color of the Ecuadorean produced Sande plywood I bought at Home Depot. I have not painted this yet, so don't know how the joints of the strips will look, but do wish each section was longer. Seemed like there was a joint about every four feet, which means there was no avoiding at least one on my six foot long boards.

Good product.
This veneer edge banding is a little thicker than expected. The seams are very noticeable, but it has lots of glue on it and once it is on, you cannot get it off.

Quality product and perfect adhesion
I'm not the most handy person so buying something that is easy to use and, for lack of a better term, "idiot proof" is what i was looking for to finish off some shelf edging. All you need a simple household iron (and a youtube video in my case) and you are off and running...what surprised me was that the splices that I had to put together are almost invisible. great product.

The finished strip matches the birch plywood beautifully. Good product
The BIG roll of birch edge banding arrived on time and packaged well. Cut a strip to length, heated up my wife's iron, aligned the strip to the sanded wood edge and applied the iron. The strip attached quickly and firmly. After the glue dried, cut the strip to proper size, sanded, applied pre-stain, stain and polyurethane, sanding between each application. The finished strip matches the birch plywood beautifully. Good product, easy installation, fast edge cutting and excellent preparation and finishing.
