Works great
My vintage candle stick holders are not exact to buy candles in standard sizes. This works great to get them to fit

Sharpening "blade" is plastic
This sharpener works very well, just like the manual pencil sharpeners. The wax that gets shaved off collects in the cup to prevent a mess. Be advised that the "blade" portion that sharpens the candle is made of plastic, not metal. It is a hard plastic that is very sharp but not sure of it's durability.

Wine bottle candles
It takes some effort, but finally I can shave my candles down so that they fit in wine bottles. I don't get why someone doesn't make candles that fit specifically in bottles, but this solved my problem.

Candles fit perfectly in any holder
I have an assortment of crystal candlesticks that I use for the All Saints Day candles at my Church. They do not all have the same size "cup," so it has been difficult to make candles fit snuggly. This sharpener is the perfect solution. Easy to use and clean. I know it will be my helper for many seasons throughout the year.

not sharp enough to whittle away candle
I was hoping for more pencil sharpener like results. This does not work well. I am back to using a paring knife.
