Future's End is a major event that crosses through the entire DC universe & 2 main timelines- one 5 years in the future, the other 25 or so. Batman Beyond is sent back in time to try & stop Batman's O.M.A.C. program & Mr. Terrific from creating the demise & assimilation of nearly every hero & villain by a cybernetic combination of creatures reminiscent of the Terminator, the Borg, and a multitude of Brainiacs from destroying all life on Earth. When Batman Beyond returns to the past, he quickly realizes that something went wrong- he wasn't sent far enough back, & the beginning of the end is already in motion. However, there still is hope, and as numerous characters from every corner of the DCU begin to put the pieces together, it becomes more and more apparent that.... ah screw it, I don't know what I'm talking about lol. I haven't finished V. 2 yet & it was like 8 months ago that I read V. 1 so I can't really remember what all is going on, other than stuff to do with Grifter, Frankenstein agent of SHADE, and Princess Amethyst of Gem World. In the future, even Superman fell & they cut open his head & replaced his brain with an O.M.A.C. control module & his legs with spider-like crawlers. I'd recommend reading all of it, as it's pretty wild. Oh and everyone, and I do mean EVERYONE dies. Even Bruce Wayne.

I have read all three volumes of Futures End. Before you commit your money, I urge you to note the following: the end of volume three does not finish the story. I have read that Futures End is a 48-issue story, and the three volumes do appear to reproduce all 48 issues. Nevertheless, the story is not complete, and I am at a loss to explain this lack.

Really good flow. The story jumps around a lot but the timing is great and doesn't distract. Vol 1 is required to understand this just FYI. The Batman twist was awesome.

This very well may be DC Comic's darkest time line. This series has a tendency to focus a lot of pages on characters that aren't well known and that aren't very interesting. However, it keeps you wondering what will happen up until the very end.

Part 2 to this thrilling story arc.

Very fun take on a near future. I also enjoy the terminator like story.

A really solid DC event if a little convoluted. If you liked seeing your favorites destroyed and turned evil like Blackest Night this is definitely up your alley. One note, the cover is not right. It's actually the cover the kindle version has.

This is a good continuation of the first volume. Plotlines become clearer, a lot of twists & turns and a lot more action. Some of the reveals are very well done and surprising in parts too. Also it was enjoyable the two batmen go at it. Well worth sticking with this story if you have already got volume 1.

Estuve buscando mucho tiempo y encontrar los 3 tomos fue una bendición, y encontrarlo a ese precio fue lo que me animo a comprar los 3, hasta ahora ha sido el mejor lugar para comprar cómics, y será donde los compre apartir de ahora, sin mencionar que llegan rapidísimo, incluso antes de la fecha que da Amazon

It's crap plain and simple, they moved on from a well written and intriguing first edition to this.They simply asked themselves, how do we add filler to prolong and waste peoples time and money?I know lets add Charlie s Angels and Young and the Restless to the mix. Let's add a bunch of characters nobody cares about and make them ramble endlessly. Let's put some close up shots of the characters and make them look real smart so that we can trick fanboy's into thinking they're reading some real life government conspiracy. You're basically reading the first book but shorter and worse, killed the whole series for me won't be buying the next issue without reviews.
